DATUK SERI RAZMAN HASHIM HOSTED A PRIVATE DINNER FOR HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS THE SULTAN OF SELANGOR SULTAN SHARAFUDDIN IDRIS SHAH ON 11 DECEMBER 2011 TO CELEBRATE HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS'S 66TH BIRTHDAY.
HELD AT DATUK SERI RAZMAN HASHIM'S RESIDENCE AT THE MINES NEXT TO PALACE OF GOLDEN HORSES HOTEL, THE PRIVATE BIRTHDAY PARTY WAS ATTENDED BY AROUND 120 FRIENDS OF THE SULTAN OF SELANGOR AND DATUK SERI RAZMAN HASHIM.
IT HAS BECOME THE TRADITION FOR THE SULTAN OF SELANGOR TO ATTEND DATUK SERI RAZMAN HASHIM'S DINNER ON 11 DECEMBER, THE OFFICIAL BIRTHDAY OF THE SELANGOR SULTAN ALTHOUGH HIS ACTUAL BIRTHDAY IS 24 DECEMBER.
This year was the tenth time the Sultan of Selangor had attended Datuk Seri Razman's dinner held in his honour consecutively! It is now a record as the Sultan had always granted Datuk Seri Razman the singular honour of hosting HRH's birthday in the same house with almost the same guest list and with food catered by Sunway Resort, Hotel and Spa!
Of course Datuk Seri Razman has hosted various dinners and birthday parties for the Selangor Sultan as their friendship spans over 50 years! But the last birthday was a record as Sultan Sharafuddin had attended for 10 years in a row! Nonstop and without a break! Next year, Datuk Seri Razman will produce a book to celebrate 10 years the Selangor Sultan had honoured him by attending his birthday 10 years in a row! Hopefully I will be asked to write the book as this will be such an honour as I have attended all 10 birthday dinners!
This year is also very special as in the morning of 11 December 2011, the Sultan of Selangor had bestowed a new title 'Seri Paduka Mahkota Selangor' carrying the title' Datuk Seri'! Previously he was only Datuk Razman Hashim and now he is Datuk Seri Razman Hashim! Congratulations!
Mind you, Datuk Seri Razman Hashim is already a Selangor Datuk and he is a Datuk 5 times over!
So the 10th birthday dinner hosted by Datuk Seri Razman Hashim was particularly special as he became a Datuk Seri just hours earlier! "This award is the best gift for me!" he enthused. "This annual dinner for the Sultan of Selangor is almost like a reunion dinner for the guests!"
This dinner was made even more historic as it was also attended by the Prime Minister of Malaysia Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor who arrived midway through dinner.
By a happy coincidence, Datin Seri Rosmah's birthday was on the 10 December so it was a double celebration! His Royal Highness cut his birthday cake as all the assembled guests sang Happy Birthday. A second cake was rolled out for the First Lady who received a kiss from the Prime Minister. Said Datuk Seri Razman, "Datin Seri Rosmah has been attending for the last 5 years since she was the wife of Deputy Prime Minister."
Conspicuously missing that evening was HH Raja Nazrin Sultan Azlan Shah the Crown Prince of Perak who was away in Doha. "Or else Raja Nazrin would definitely attend," said Datuk Seri Razman. "Another regular who could not make it was Tengku Dara Tengku Naquiah who was away in India."

Saya amat ingin bertanya di sini bahawa apa dosa besar dan jenayah telah dia telah melakukan setakat anda peguam Datuk Yip Kum Fook dengan cara atau oleh penjahat yang dipanggil polis untuk menahan seorang rahib yang seperti dia?
Saya datang dari Pulau Pinang, saya adalah pendatang baru dan saya sementara meletakkan di PERSATUAN PENGANUT BUDDHA SAMNAK SAMBODHI untuk mengkaji dan belajar untuk mempraktikkan Buddhisme. Ketika di kuil tersebut, saya tidak tahan dengan cara yang peguam Datuk Yip Kum Fook berkelakuan, sikap anda tidak sopan, sombong dan tidak terkalahkan dalam merawat ketua Sami di Kuil.
Kerana saya berkata beberapa perkataan mengenai kelakuan anda kepada anda peguam Datuk Yip Kum Fook, anda menggunakan cara-cara kotor untuk menyakiti Sami. Ia adalah sesuatu yang tidak boleh diterima dan membuang satu contoh yang sangat buruk.
Untuk pengetua sebuah sekolah, jika pelajar itu dan telah melakukan suatu kesalahan, pihak polis mestilah sebagai perkara ihsan bertemu dengan pengetua, cuba untuk memahami situasi sebenar, sebelum polis mengambil sebarang tindakan. Ini adalah amalan biasa.
Tetapi ia memohon maaf untuk mengatakan, bahawa peguam Datuk Yip Kum Fook yang dirinya adalah seorang peguam memilih untuk mempunyai dilakukan. Jika tidak, dia tidak bertindak selaras dengan ajaran Agama Buddha dan memandang rendah kepada semangat Buddhisme untuk satu tujuan, menunjukkan bahawa dia adalah pengerusi yang kuat Bahagian MCA Gombak dan pengerusi PERSATUAN PENGANUT BUDDHA SAMNAK SAMBODHI. Beliau menuntut pihak polis untuk menahan Sami Buddha untuk merealisasikan motif beliau
Ia amat bertuah yang disebabkan oleh hakikat bahawa agama itu sendiri adalah satu perkara yang sensitif, malah anggota polis Melayu difahami dan dihormati agama, budaya dan adat resam kaum lain, jadi mereka tidak terburu-buru mengambil apa-apa tindakan. Jika tidak, akibatnya akan menjadi bencana.
