SARAH PALIN IS A CONTROVERSIAL AMERICAN POLITICIAN AND 9TH GOVERNOR OF ALASKA SO SHE IS CONSIDERED QUITE A BIG GUN IN AMERICAN POLITICS.
In 2008 she entered history by being the first Republican woman to be nominated as Vice-President candidate by the Republican Party. She was the first Alaskan to be nominated at national level and her book 'Going Rogue' sold 2 million copies.

ElectionPalin was elected governor in 2006, defeating the Republican incumbent Frank Murkowski in the primary and Democrat Tony Knowles in the general election.
