The 51-storey, 733 condo tower covers 5 acres and is designed on the SOHO (Small Office Home Office) concept. Ranging from around RM 1 million to RM 2 million, each unit is fully furnished so you can move in with suitcase and toothbrush once completed in 2014.

Says Chermaine Poo, “Platinum Victory Group seeks the ideal urban Chinese woman who understands the power of applying her mind, influence and status to engage others in charitable activities.”

Produced by former winner of Miss Chinese Cosmos 2004 Carrie Lee the franchise holder for Miss Chinese Cosmos Pageant organised by Phoenix Satellite Television in Hong Kong, this is the most coveted title in the Chinese speaking world.

The 22 finalists consisted of 12 Malaysians, 4 Thais, 3 Singaporeans and one each from Vietnam, Philippines and Laos. They appeared in daywear by Pure and evening gown by Keith Kee.

The top 6 were expected to be articulate and show their intelligence during the Q & A and they lived up to expectation. Hot favourite contestant # 5 Lee Yen Yi, 28, from Selangor is a dentist who has lived in New Zealand for 10 years and armed with a powerful resume. “I can talk all night about teeth!” she joked as the emcee forestalled her and asked about her perception of KL and its traffic. “I love KL as it is vibrant and offers the best food! I love the cuisine of the three main races and local food is what I miss most in Auckland. Yes, the traffic jams can be irritating but the congestion is the same in all major cities. However the train system is fantastic and I am happy to go on a date by monorail!”

Contestant #10 Michelle Fong, 21, also from Selangor, agrees when asked about health and pollution. “Health is joy and it is important to live well despite air pollution and stress from modern living. If you live in the city, it is not necessary to drive. Take the public transport system as Kuala Lumpur has a great network and I have no problem getting to my destination. No jam and no parking problem!”

Contestant #19, Gong Wen Hui,23, from Thailand was asked about her reaction should she win Miss Prestige. “It will be a big honour as this title is presented by a prestigious housing developer Platinum Victory Face. I will do my best to promote this pageant and use my title to help raise money for charity and will attend all fund raisers.”

Contestant #21 Jennifer Foh, 22, was asked why she took part. Her answer roused much applause. “I wanted to see if the gossip about beauty pageants is true, that is it rigged or a scam or whether the girls can be bought. All are not true so I am honoured to take part. Most important, I want to see how far I can go. I suffer from stage fright and could never speak in public so I am pushing myself to the limit.”

When contestant #2, Singaporean Luo Wei Qi, spoke, it was a foregone conclusion she would win. Perhaps due to her age, 28, Luo had the poise and confidence of a natural-born winner. She was asked her opinion about Platinum Victory Face project which was easy enough and she declared shamelessly, “Platinum Victory Face is a high-class development with world class design, concept and construction. The clever interior designs make each type of unit appear much bigger than its actual size. I love the idea one can move in with a toothbrush and enjoy an elegant lifestyle. The predominantly white colour scheme makes everything so clean and fresh. I would love to buy one and move to KL!”

Luo Wei Qi from Singapore won, not just by pandering to the sponsor but at 174cm, she was also the tallest and certainly very beautiful. Judges were Carrie Lee, the first and only international winner of Miss Chinese Cosmos in 2004, Teresa Zhang Miss Chinese Cosmos Southeast Asia winner 2010, Jennifer So Miss Elegant Estee Lauder 2010 and Alex Chan.
