Did you blink? Here is Nicole Trunfio again, still transparent as ever as she had nothing to hide. The girl at left had to close her mouth in astonishment at such a vision

Glowing and stunning

Looking simply stunning after the shows; Nicole Trunfio showing me her bling from her own jewellery collection called Eight & A Half which was launched in New York 9 days earlier.

L1000883.JPG

We were in the same Mercedes-Benz limousine on the way back to our hotel so Nicole showed me her jewels she designed

L1000883.JPG

Her leit-motif is the pyramid which symbolises power and agelessness!

THE STUDENT RUNWAY FINALS WITH A WINNER EACH IN THESE 5 CATEGORIES; RTW MEN, RTW WOMEN, ECO-FRIENDLY, EVENING AND COSTUME COUTURE

L1000744.JPG

This was my favourite and I could see myself strutting around Perth and across the globe in it. Of course it won the Costume Couture category as I predicted!

L1000744.JPG

Ethnic-flavoured but still cosmopolitan enough for any urban warrior

L1000744.JPG

The back and boots were also artistically crafted

L1000744.JPG

This model knew he would win!

L1000744.JPG

Yes, that was a real snake coiling around her neck and shoulders. My snake necklet was made of gold and immobile

L1000744.JPG

I love this ensemble, so flirty and frothy

L1000744.JPG

These were as good as the pros...could hardly believe they were created by students!

L1000744.JPG

Very couture

L1000744.JPG

French flair

L1000744.JPG

Bit over-wrought

L1000744.JPG

Not bad

L1000744.JPG

L1000744.JPG

I love this girly gown with attitude

L1000744.JPG

Girly and edgy

Yes yes, they were not models but like me, deserved to be on the catwalk at the rate they were going

STEPHANIE CAME AT NOON, THE PERFECT HOUR, TO DRIVE ME IN THE MERCEDES-BENZ LIMOUSINE TO THE OLD POST OFFICE FOR A QUICK LOOK AT WHAT WAS GOING ON. PLENTY SEEMED TO BE GOING ON BUT AS WE HAD TO LEAVE FOR THE 25 MINUTE DRIVE TO FREMANTLE, WE HAD TO MAKE HASTE.

WE ARRIVED AT FREMANTLE TOWN HALL LATE FOR THE 'THREADS' SHOW AND WAS BARRED FROM ENTERING THE HALL!

OH WELL, IT WAS NOT END OF THE WORLD AS I PROMPTLY LEFT FOR THE WORLD FAMOUS FREMANTLE MARKET A SHORT WALK AWAY.

I love weekend markets, bazaars and thrift shops so I always make sure I am at Freo during the weekend whenever I am in Perth. I spent a happy hour wandering and browsing the shops and stalls before meeting Stephanie again at 4pm to return to Perth. Unless I am with my lover, I always prefer to explore the stalls on my own as I am sure whoever is with me may get bored tagging along as we may have different interests and tastes. See how considerate I am!

After a shower as I am so hygienic, it was off to Fashion Paramount at WA Museum for the Student Runway Show and Contest. I was eager to watch this again as I saw the earlier public judging 2 days ago at Old Post Office. I was blown over by some of the students' calibre and I was keen to see my alltime favourite outfit that was a cross between a Japanese samurai, imperial Chinese courtier, Mongolian khan and American bear trapper.

I told photographer Luke Thompson if that piece did not win in its category, I would slit my throat...after slitting the throats of the judges first of course. Luke went pale but as that ensemble won the Costume Category, no blood was spilled.

The Student Runway Show had 5 categories; RTW Women, RTW Men, Evening Wear, Eco Design and Costume Design which was won by my favourite. The were also the final collections from the 2011 Carton Designers, Jeromy Lim from Malacca, Malaysia, Alissa Gomez and Celine Bridge who were the top 2010 students who spent 4 months producing their first collections for The Carton located in Carillon City.

The Student Runway show was followed by the sexiest event to hit and heat up Perth Fashion Festival--- The Sunday Times Swimwear show featuring Bernice Sara Resort Wear, Kooey (cute or what this name?) and would you believe We Are Handsome which was a sold out as all the red-blooded men of Perth bought tickets. Fancy a swimwear brand meant for girls called We Are Handsome but then there are plenty of weird and wacky names out here.

After the 7.30pm swimwear show I was walking towards Fashion Bar at The Court when Lance Pompey swept into the drive to deposit Perth born, New York based supermodel Nicole Trunfio. I ran to introduce myself but that was not necessary as Lance had been telling Nicole during the long ride all about me and my antics.

Laughed the supermodel, "I had heard so much about you and all the snippets and saw your photos in the newspapers that I feel like I already know you."

Clad in a diaphanous long sheer tunic by Daniella Caputi that left nothing to the imagination, Nicole Trunfio looked a vision, a veritable sex goddess sent down from heaven to make men happy. Indeed her long dress was so transparent she would have been arrested for indecent exposure and bad influence on impressionable teenagers. So she had to wear something underneath and what did she slip on but bra and pantie! So basically Nicole Trunfio wore her knickers and almost nothing else!

The effect, like the slogan of the vodka advert, was shattering. Cameras clicked as jaws dropped and tongue hung out like puppies'.

She towered over me and I reached her armpits or something so I asked how tall she was. Replied Nicole, "I am 5 ft 10 inches but of course I wear heels so I am taller than you, don't take it personal!"

I did take it personal and it was just as well I was going to Fashion Bar to drown my sorrow by downing litres of Bunkers champagne. There, I met Tony Sage who was as usual surrounded by beautiful women and this time exceptionally so as they were twins!

From Shanghai too! So exotic in this part of the world. The twins Stephanie and Susan were born in Australia as their parents migrated from China. They too were 5ft 10 inches in their stockinged feet and again I was up to their armpits or eardrums or somewhere near there.

The last show was by Magdalena Velevska, known among Australia's fashion elite for her precisely tailored, monochromatic pieces cut from silk, linen and natural fibres. She is known for her structural blazers, simple urban dresses and androgynous trousers.
