THE RAKYAT AND LOYAL SUBJECTS QUEUED PATIENTLY OR MORE LIKELY IMPATIENTLY, TO SHAKE HANDS WITH HIS MAJESTY THE KING AND HER MAJESTY THE QUEEN PLUS DATIN SERI ROSMAH MANSOR, DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER TAN SRI MUHYIDDIN YASSIN, HIS WIFE PUAN SRI NORAINEE ABDUL RAHMAN, TUN DR MAHATHIR MOHAMMAD AND HIS WIFE TUN DR SITI HASMAH.
SADLY BUT AS EXPECTED, THE KING COULD NOT SHAKE THE HANDS OF SOME 3,000 GUESTS OR IT WOULD TAKE ALL DAY AND NIGHT. SO IT WAS A CASE OF FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED SO TO SPEAK. THOSE WHO FALTERED AND DID NOT RUSH TO BE IN LINE LOST OUT!
