ST MARY----KL'S LATEST UPSCALE RESIDENCES--- IS READY TO MOVE IN!

KEE@FSWMAG.COM

I AM A CITY SLICKER AND ST MARY FITS THE BILL NICELY.

LOCATED ON JALAN SULTAN ISMAIL AND NEXT TO WHAT USED TO BE MALAYSIA AIRLINES HEADQUARTERS, ST MARY'S OWNERS WERE GIVEN THE KEYS ON 2 AUGUST 2012.

I was there for a photo shoot for NewMan magazine as I am the Face of Malaysian Fashion so I got to have a lookee at the showflat since the Creative Director and Editor Eugene insisted I should be photographed sprawled on the bed as this is my favorite position as I am very adventurous in bed.

Anyway I was so impressed by the set-up, lay-out and hang-out of St Mary I thought it is my religious duty to share the good news with my legion of rich and powerful friends in case some may missed out from incessant jetsetting.

I wonder if there is a religious overtone since this is the first time a highclass condo is named after a Christian saint. Soon we will have another saint, St Regis condos at Sentral so we are getting quite religious. As a living saint myself, call me St Kee, I am pleased that Christianity and St Mary, Mother Mary, Virgin Mary, the Blessed Mother of God, is shown such respect as an upmarket condo is named in her honour.

Or St Mary can refer to St Mary Magdalene, the former prostitute who found grace in Jesus Christ. Some believe she even secretly married Jesus Christ so some of us are His descendants and may carry the blood of Jesus, omigod!

Buddha was married and had children before He became enlightened and I know I am His direct descendant destined to save mankind from despair, destruction and death. So I am a Boddhsattva or Living Buddha.

But we are digressing...

Back to St Mary Residences which is not too far from St Mary Anglican Cathedral on Jalan Raja next to Dataran Merdeka.

Of course St Mary Residences is a class act and will have a high-end but affordable eatery Deli-cious which happens to be owned by E and O the developer of St Mary and a host of others of similar ilk.

The cheapest  flat for members of the lower class is RM 1.5 million while high class folks like us should move in instantly to the penthouses which hover around RM 12 million.

Kuala Lumpur, 2 August 2012 - Luxury lifestyle developer Eastern and Oriental Berhad ( E and O) today showcased
its recently-completed St Mary development, located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.

The 4-acre luxury project, developed in partnership with The Lion Group, is unique in that it brings together E and O's core business of property development and the supporting lifestyle pillars of hospitality and F & B within one location.

In addition to the 457-unit St Mary Residences luxury apartments, the St Mary development includes the E and O
Residences Kuala Lumpur, E and O's first serviced apartment project in the city, as well as St Mary Place, a retail centre featuring a select number of high quality retail, F and B and convenience offerings, including a Delicious CafĂ©, part of E and O's business.

Speaking at a walkabout event held to introduce the development, E and O Deputy Managing Director, Eric Chan Kok Leong said, “We are proud of the way the St Mary development has been conceptualised and prouder still of
the result. Reflecting our position as a true luxury lifestyle property developer, St
Mary showcases how our core of property development is brought to life with E and O's
supporting lifestyle elements of hospitality and F and B. This is what E and O Property is all about – smart, stylish, high-quality,
luxurious living that gives you the best returns.”

He added St Mary presented an ideal platform for E and O to explore ways in which it could raise the bar on the level
and scope of services offered to its buyers and investors.

"In this regard, he announced
announced that following the completion and handover of the St Mary Residences, E and O was introducing
the E and O Rental Programme, an innovative programme designed to help St Mary Residences
buyers and investors better realise their investment in St Mary, and to quickly respond to the
interest that St Mary is already generating in the city.

"E and O's commitment to its customers extends beyond the completion of a sale and the E and O Rental Programme,
which is designed to serve our buyers, is a reflection of this promise,” said Chan.

The E and O Rental Programme sees the E and O Customer Care team establish working relationships with a number
of key property agents.  With these relationships, E and O is able to help St Mary Residences' buyers facilitate the sale or
rental of their units by advising them on rental and sub-sale rates and also help arrange viewing
s by potential tenants and buyers.

E and O also provides St Mary Residences buyers with a useful guide on rental and sub-sale prices for St Mary, based on
research done by independent property agents and analysts.  Buyers and agents are able to easily share this i
nformation with prospective tenants and buyers, making it absolutely hassle-free
 yet rewarding for them.

Chan also announced the impending launch for sale of St Mary penthouse units. These units, the cream of the St Mary development, will f
eature exquisite fittings and designs.

Befitting their stature, three of these penthouses – called super-penthouses – will come with the option to purchase a Lamborghini Gallardo at a very special price, as a result of a co-branding partnership between E and O and Lamborghini
Malaysia.

Announcing the partnership with Lamborghini, Chan said, “This, ladies and gentlemen, is a market first and another

way how E and O is setting benchmarks for luxury living in the city.”

He said with the completion of St Mary, E and O was well-poised to move to the next level, “We are passionate about
building best-in-class communities that match the individual’s lifestyle. Luxury and quality are the hallmarks of our
success. Our aim is to consciously build our corporate and property brands, to
cement a more global position as the true property lifestyle developer.”

ABOUT THE E and O GROUP
Eastern and Oriental Berhad (collectively referred to as ‘The E and O Group’ or 'E and O') is listed on the Main-board of Bursa Malaysia.

The Company is involved in 3 core business activities; namely hospitality and lifestyle, property development and property investment.

E and O undertook the meticulous refurbishment and upgrading of the heritage Eastern and  Oriental hotel and the Lone Pine Hotel in the late 1990s. Since it was established by the Sarkies Brothers in 1885, E and O Hotel has charmed travellers from  from near and far, creating a reputation to match its sister hotels – The Raffles, Singapore and The Strand,
Rangoon – also founded by the Sarkies.

Lone Pine Hotel is the oldest beach hotel, established in 1948, along Penang island's famed Batu Ferringhi tourist strip.

There are ongoing efforts to capitalise on the Group’s hotel management expertise and extend this service
towards the management of a portfolio of hotels and resorts in Malaysia and around the region.

In 2007, E and O embarked on a new lifestyle food and beverage venture, via the acquisition of a substantial stake in
The Delicious Group, which it currently owns 100%. Named after the original “Delicious” concept restaurant, the group
now operates 10 restaurants in some of the most vibrant spots of Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Singapore. The outlet in Penang's  Straits Quay festive retail marina marks the Group’s first foray outside Kuala Lumpur while the Scotts Square, Singapore outlet is the first outside Malaysia.

E and O's reputation as a premier property developer is built across a series of exclusive addresses in Kuala Lumpur and
Penang Island. Its track record includes prestigious residential projects such as Sri Se-Ekar and 202 Desa Cahaya (202
DC), whilst at nearby Kampung Warisan, Malaysia’s celebrated cartoonist Datuk Lat successfully conceptualised a
traditional Malay village ambience within the heart of the capital.

E and O's more-recent landmark developments include the high-end condominium Dua Residency, located within the vicinity of the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) as well as Idamansara, located in Kuala Lumpur’s upscale Damansara Heights.

Seventy Damansara is another E and O Property's signature development with 12 exclusive detached homes within a gated and guarded community. Located ri
ght in the heart of Kuala Lumpur’s Central Business District is E and O Property's  recently launched St Mary Residences.

On Penang Island, E and O's masterplanned seafront development Seri Tanjung Pinang is one of the most sough

t-after residential addresses among locals and expatriates on the island especially with its latest launch, the Quayside
Seafront Resort Condominiums, the first condominium in the region with a 4.5 acre private waterpark.

The Property Investment division’s core mandate is the acquisition of select landbanks and properties that provides  E and O with steady, recurring income
flow and opportunities for capital appreciation in the longer term.
