SENHENG, A HOUSEHOLD NAME IN HOUSEHOLD ELECTRONICS, HOSTED A PARTY AT THE POOL IN NIHONKAN CLUB (THEY ARE TWINS BUT RUN SEPARATELY) ALONG JALAN AMPANG ON 14 JANUARY 2013.

Few privately held companies in Malaysia can boast sales of RM 1 billion but that is what Lim Kim Heng, head honcho of Senheng, managed to achieve. Of course with a fail-proof formula of offering the best products from international brands like Samsung and Canon and great service, none should be surprised! Even so, this billion ringgit sale is a record for Senheng.

In fact, the actual sales is RM 1.066 billion from just 138 outlets across Malaysia!

In December 2012 alone, sales peaked at RM 131 million!

Lim Kim Heng who had done his mathematics, told me, "With revenue of RM 1.066 billion, that
works out to be RM 1 million or so per hour!"

When asked what is his projection for this year, he grinned," I want to make it as simple as 1, 2, 3 so I hope our sales in 2013 will be RM 1.23 billion!"

Around 300 franchise holders, friends and big bosses from Samsung and Canon came to toast the host with most Lim Kim Heng who was in fine fettle and why not? If I generated sales of RM 1.066 billion in 365 days, I would be dancing and that was what he did!

I half expected him to jump into the pool fully dressed but sadly he did not. Neither did his handsome 24 year old son Lim Yau Young.

He said at the start of the party. "I am always looking for ways to spend money,".

No wonder Lim Kim Heng is so beloved by ALL!

I suggested he should be a Datuk but he shook his head vehemently, "That's not me."

Food and drinks flowed nonstop all night long. There were fun games and simple-dimple contests with RM 30,000 worth of prizes.

Senheng sells everything your house needs, from aircon to fridges to air purifiers to kettles as well as smartphones, cameras and computers!

AND AT LOW, LOW PRICES THAT CANNOT BE BEATEN! NO WONDER SAVVY FOLKS QUEUE AT SENHENG AT SUCH UNBEATABLE PRICES!

Even the MD of Samsung Malaysia came to pay respects as Senheng probably is Malaysia's biggest seller by volume of Samsung products.

Lim Kim Heng has come a long way since he sold his first TV in 1989. "I made a profit of RM 80 which seems a pittance today but 23 years that was a good sum!"

Now of course he counts his profits by the millions!

Congratulations Lim Kim Heng! May you reach your target of RM 1.23 billion for 2013!

  4. Senheng service so poor nowadays.

Purchase water heater online, give special instruction, never follow.

Call service line, no one pick up. RM1 Billion can't install hunting line.

Finally pick up, checking take 1 hour more, and need me to call back to confirm and can't confirm me what time to deliver, so i need to stay at home whole day waiting.

I'm very active online shopping user, i will rate senheng the poorest.

  5. I would like to share my bad experience with their customer service.

We bought a Panasonic led tv from Seng Heng Sdn Bhd Malacca branch few months ago.
We were told that it is compulsory to buy insurance for the tv as if anything happens on the tv regardless of what circumstance, the tv will be under warranty and being repaired.
Thus we follow what being told and purchased the tv with the insurance as well.

About 2-3 months later, out of sudden there were some lines on the tv screen.
Although it is still useable, but since it is still under warranty, we get the agent to send it back to service center.
But few days later, we received a photo from service centre that our TV is not useable at all!
The tv became not useable and we couldn’t see anything on the screen, the difference is a lot before and after sending to service center.
We hereby attach the photo as references.

Initially Seng Heng customer service promised they will look into this matter.
After that, they even sent me an email stating the TV set was sent to Panasonic for repair and given us a reference number to follow up with Panasonic. We hereby attach the snapshot as references.
Thereafter, no one follow up on the case and we couldn’t get thru to its customer service anymore.
We tried to called Panasonic and was told that the ref number given is invalid.

So we email Seng Heng and Panasonic customer service again and again.
Now, we were told that the TV is due to mishandling by the consumer and no warranty will be given? We need to fork out RM2k to repair the tv our own!
We feel truly disappointed and being cheated as following:

    1. 1. Seng Heng initially has agreed to send the TV to Panasonic service centre but later on change their statement? Is it consider cheating to consumer?

    2. 2. Seng Heng agent told us the insurance will cover everything regardless any situation but seems like this is not the case?

    3. 3. Seng Heng insist this is user error but referring to photo before and after sending to service sending, the difference is really big. How to prove this is not due to mishandling by their side?

Hope there’s 3rd party to help to sort out this issue as we really very unsatisfied with the answer given by them. We are willing to provide all necessary documents to prove our claims.

  6. i'm more preferred courts than senheng.
cause i think courts more options and items compared to senheng.
before this i've go to senheng to buy washing machine but the model that i like not avaiable and others model were not impressed me. after that i go to courts and i've found my wishlist and also at courts, more models were avaiable compared to senheng

    ReplyDelete
  7. if compared, i guess courts more better than senheng. in my opinion la..
cause if we pay installmently neither at courts or senheng, it will get interest.
at senheng, they used aeon credit as their payment which the interest was 0.8% for max 36months and with no insurance.
at courts, they had their own flexicredit which the interest was 0.77% for max 72 months and with insurance but it charged. at least more cheap and secure.

    ReplyDelete
  8. yeah. plus if use flexicredit to buy item at courts, will get discount and reward if u paid on time every month. flexicredit were flexible, u can lumpsump everytime u want and u will get more discount after that

    ReplyDelete
  9. that sounds nice. so better just lumpsump it if we got more money. will get discount means can saving our money so we can buy others item. the point is we must pay on time and make it continuosly until end of payment

    ReplyDelete
  10. now courts offer plan flexihome. with low installment and low interest, your credit plan up to rm20k. u also can manage your term payment until 72 months. so don't need to pay much every month.
