YES, I KNOW NOT ALL MY READERS HAVE MILLIONS OF RINGGIT IN SPARE CASH AND CANNOT EVEN DREAM OF PAYING RM 19,000 A NIGHT FOR THE SUITE I STAYED AT BADRUTT'S PALACE HOTEL.

The owners of Badrutt's Palace hotel; Hansjurg Badrutt and wife Aniko who are now in their 80s. His grandfather Johannes Badrutt opened Palace Hotel in 1896 and added his name later.

Summer is low season at St Moritz with rock-bottom hotel rates!

Postcard perfect in summer

St Moritz glitz

Golfing is surreal
So it is quite miraculous that Badrutt's Palace hotel offers a room as low as RM 740 a night! Yes this is not a typing error!
You can live like a lord for a mere 225 Swiss Francs which is RM 740!
And enjoy all the perks and privileges afforded to all guests regardless whether you stay in the cheapest room of RM 740 or the most expensive Hans Badrutt Suite at RM 64,000 a night!
From 10 March to 1 April 2013, a Standard Room is 285 Swiss Francs (RM 930) but from 21 June to 4 July and again from 18 August till 8 September 2013 it is 225 Swiss Francs or RM 740 a night!
From 5 July till 17 August 2013 it is High Season so the rate is 285 Swiss Francs or RM 930 a night which is still considered cheap! Well, compared to the cheapest Superior Suite at 2,305 Swiss Francs (RM 7,500) from 10 March till 1 April 2013 and 1,370 Swiss Francs (RM 4,500) during the low season from 21 June to 4 July and 18 August to 8 Sept 2013!
The cheapest suite is the Junior Suite at 1,720 (RM 5,600) and 1,055 Swiss Francs (RM 3,440) during the low season which is very reasonable!
All rooms include buffet breakfast, refreshment bar, movie channels, Wifi, service charge, tax and VAT. I love the fact there are NO hidden charges so common with hotels! I have stayed in hotels which charge for Wifi, service and tax.
In St Moritz, the low season is summer with no or limited skiing which is fine for Malaysians as we are not famous for skiing and most can do without freezing!
Summer in Switzerland is gorgeously stunning and we can wear normal clothes and the scenery is just as spectacularly and green instead of white.
