5 MAY WILL BE A RED LETTER DAY FOR MALAYSIA AND THAILAND.

On this day, 5 May, Malaysians will vote for Barisan to form the government and Thais will celebrate Coronation Day to commemorate the 63rd year of King Bhumibol Adulyadej on the throne of Thailand.

And Sala Hospitality Group of Hotels will toast the King of Thailand with an array of tempting offers for tourists!

CORONATION DAY
Celebrating 63 Years on the Throne
On the 5th of May the Royal Kingdom of Thailand will pay respect to the King, His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, to commemorate his coronation in 1950. Every year Thai people rejoice and express their affection and loyalty to him by organizing celebrations on his coronation day.
Coronation day is a tradition that dates back to 1851 when King Mongkut thought that the day was auspicious and should be shared with his subjects.

Under the reign of HM King Bhumibol, the ceremony takes place over three days; the first day will be a merit-making ceremony by the King followed on the second day with an evening chant led by the Chief of Brahmin priests and later Buddhist Monks. On the final day food is offered to monks, the Navy presents a 21-gun salute and the King presents Royal Decorations to people who have made valuable contributions to the country.

Long Live The King!
