As one of the 8 judges I and the rest could not choose one finalist as 1st runner-up and another as 2nd runner-up as both girls received 4 nominations each!

Of the 8 judges, 4 gave the 1st runner-up title to Julies Lucas and the other 4 judges nominated Julie Tan as 1st runner-up!

The 8 judges were split evenly as usually the number of judges is an odd number like 7 or 9 which would have settled the placing but since Julie Tan and Julies Lucas received the same number of votes, we decided there would be no 2nd runner-up and both would be joint 1st runners-up!

By a weird coincidence, both were named Julie though one is called Julies with an 's' which was purposely given by her father and not a typing error!

By another coincidence, Julie Tan struck an identical pose with overall winner Charissa Chong as both posed lying on their back! So in a sense, the winner (finalist #1) and 1st runner-up (finalist #10) won by lying flat on their asses! I love it!

What is even stranger and more unusual is the fact both runners-up had the same name 'Julie'!

What is the chance of this happening under normal circumstances? I am sure the chance is a billion to one!

A shock decision! There were 2 first runners-up and no second runner-up as both received equal number of votes---4 each---from the 8 judges!
L1440892_edited.JPG
There was a frantic last minute adaptation as there was only 1 first runner-up sash so both girls had to hold it!
L1440892_edited.JPG
And only 1 trophy to be shared and held by both winners!
