PART 4; LOUWMAN CAR MUSEUM TAKES VISITORS FOR A MAJOR TOUR DE FORCE IN THE HAGUE

KEE@FSWMAG.COM
SOME CARS ARE TIME MACHINES AND NEVER RESTORED AND ARE TANGIBLE CONNECTIONS TO A LONG GONE ERA.

The current owner is Evert Louwman, the Dutch importer of Lexus, Toyota and Sukuzi. Of course it stands to reason the Louwman family should be involved in the car trade since it makes sense and is a lateral expansion of their passion!

In 1969 the cars were housed in the National Automobile Museum. In 1981 it was moved to the property owned by the Louwman clan and on 18 April 2003 the collection moved to its present location in The Hague. Such was its importance it was opened by Her Majesty Queen Beatrice of Holland.
