FIRST MALAYSIAN CASUALTY OF BANGKOK'S PROPOSED SHUTDOWN THIS COMING MONDAY---THE POSTPONEMENT OF FIREFLY'S KOTA BARU TO BANGKOK INAUGURAL FLIGHT FROM 24 JANUARY TO 19 MARCH 2014! THOSE WHO HAVE BOUGHT TICKETS GET A FULL REFUND.

MANY OF MY FRIENDS WHO BOUGHT THEIR AIR TICKETS FROM KOTA TO BANGKOK FOR FIREFLY'S INAUGURAL FLIGHT COMPLAINED THEY NOW HAVE TO CANCEL THEIR HOTEL BOOKINGS AND HAVE TROUBLE GETTING REFUNDS.

But they also realise it is pointless to visit Bangkok now when no one except Buddha knows what will happen next. The protesters or Yellow Shirts plan to shut down the whole of Bangkok this coming Monday!

Even if that does not happen, the thought of getting trapped inside hotel rooms or worse, out on the streets unable to return to your hotel, is enough to make Malaysians and Kelantanese stay put.

But my friends told me all hotels will carry forward the reservations as prepaid credit for their hotel rooms when the situation returns to normal.

Firefly plans to inaugurate its maiden flight on 19 March 2014...unless of course there is another coup d'etat. Only Buddha and Chatukarm know what will happen.
