GENERAL MANAGER  SHOLTO HANDLES THE TALL ORDER OF LOOKING AFTER PARK HYATT SIEM REAP WITH PANACHE AND FLAIR

Opened in August 2013, Park Hyatt Siem Reap is the contemporary and sophisticated face of  luxury in Cambodia. A re-branding from the original Hotel De La Paix, the 108 room and suite property is in the early stages of becoming a top destination for all those looking for internationally re-nowned accommodation and service.

Sholto Smith joins Park Hyatt Siem Reap from his most recent post with Hyatt Hotels Corporation in Melbourne, Australia. With a wealth of knowledge in hotel management and sales and marketing, Smith spent six plus years working as Area Director of Sales and Director of Sales and Marketing in the UK,

Ireland and Kazakhstan.

A firm believer and supporter of engaging in the local community, Smith looks forward to building on the good work already started by other hotels and businesses in town.

A partnership between Park Hyatt

Siem Reap and locally based Life& Hope Association has already won an honourable mention within the Hyatt Corporation for their work to provide underprivileged women the opportunity to learn and develop valuable sewing skills.

Smith hopes to spearhead further partnerships with similar positive impact on the community, “We hope to make a difference during our stay here and I see unlimited potential in the hotel, team, and community.”

Originally from England and raised in Australia, Smith has 20 plus years within the Hyatt Hotel

Corporation. He is a graduate of Bentley College in Perth, Western Australia and holds a diploma in hotel management.
