THE NEW LANDMARK OF AUSTRALIA!

ResCom opens Australia 108 for sale! Australia 108 the tallest residential building in the Southern Hemisphere

ResCom Australia Sdn Bhd (“ResCom”) located in Pavilion KL, an affiliate of ResCom Group headquartered in Australia, is opening 50 carefully selected units of Australia 108 for sale in Malaysia.

World Class Land, a subsidiary of Aspial Corporation Ltd in Singapore, is the developer, while ResCom is the coordinator and one of the agents appointed to coordinate sales in Malaysia.

At 319 metres with 101 levels of habitable spaces, Australia 108 is currently the tallest building approved by the Victorian State Government. Initially envisioned as a 108- storey skyscraper (hence the name Australia 108) the building was later lowered to 101 levels to accommodate airplane flight paths.

Of course you would imagine a pilot and his co-pilot who presumably are not blind, are able to see a 108-storey building in their flight path and, unless they have gone totally mad, should simply fly past it or above it without crashing into it!

As things stand, a 101-storey building is marginally shorter than a 108-storey building. So if a plane can crash into a 108-storey building, it can jolly well crash and explode and kill all passengers in plane by colliding into a 101-storey building!

So what's the difference between a 101 and 108 storey building?

I think this restriction is very FOOLISH of the Victorian government of the State of Victoria to force the developer to reduce the number of storeys from 108 to 101! Melbourne is not world famous for skyscrapers and there is plenty of space for a plane to fly merrily around Australia 108 building without breaking off a wing or fuselage by scraping itself against Australia 108!

If  they are so paranoid about safety, there should emulate what some beach resorts do---limit the number of storeys in a buildings to the height of a coconut tree! After all, there is heaps of empty land in the continent of Australia and the great Outback is just screaming to be developed!

Because of this, I am now unable to buy the penthouse on the 108th storey and have to make do with one on the 101th floor! Grrrr!

You will have fab neighbours---this landmark project is strategically located in Southbank of Victoria, Melbourne, surrounded by the city’s attractions namely Crown Casino, Melbourne Exhibition Centre, the Melbourne Arts Precinct, Royal Botanic Gardens, and Queen Victoria Park. Flinders Street Train Station, Federation Square, and the Bourke Street shopping belt in the central business district  (“CBD”) are only a short walk away, making Australia 108 the most sought-after address in the city.

From street level and in the skyline the dynamism of Australia 108 will pair with the neighbouring Eureka Tower to redefine the city skyline.

“There are many development sites in Melbourne, but none is as distinguished as Australia 108. We bought the opportunity to do a due diligence on the site, we found that Australia 108 is a project that appeals to global investors and this is what made us seal the deal,” said Koh Wee Seng, Director, World Class Land. “The project was brought to us by Leonard Ng, Co-Founder of ResCom in Malaysia. We are very proud to develop our first property in Australia on a trophy site in Melbourne.”

The 101-level residential building is house to 1,105 apartments in two distinct zones called Sky Rise Residences (Level 11-67) and Cloud Residences (Level 72-100).

Featuring choices ranging from 1- and 2-bedroom apartments on the lower rise (Level 11-67), luxurious 3-bedroom (Level 72-95), penthouses (Level 96-97), and a super penthouse on the 100th level, Australia 108 is able to fulfill demands for various differentiated lifestyles.

Unlike property buying in Malaysia, buyers of Australia 108 only pay a 10 percent deposit to book a unit at published price without committing to a progressive loan.

Deposit paid is interest bearing and balance will be paid through financing methods of buyers’ choice only after completion, which is tentatively in 2019.

“We are selling property futures where you commit now at today's prices, for an asset in that you pay for in five to seven years. The upside is obvious. The deposit you pay today will appreciate in tandem with the current property inflation rate, which is projected at about 4% per annum,” said Nick Ng, Director, Property Ventures of ResCom.

“We believe putting your money in Australia 108 is a way to plan your investment ahead.”
