Discover the Unforgettable Cuisine of Italy’s Lombardy Region

From 5 to 19 September and 25 September to 20 October, Cucina’s Chef de Cuisine Andrea Delzanno showcases a sumptuous taste of Italy’s Lombardy region. His special menu features six authentic dishes highlighting Lombardy’s classic ingredients and richly satisfying flavours for diners to enjoy alongside the panoramic views of Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong’s iconic skyline at Cucina.

Neighbouring Piedmont, Lombardy is located in the north of Italy with the world’s glamorous fashion capital of Milan at its centre. Blessed with richly fertile agricultural land, Lombardy is particularly famous for its rice, corn, cheeses and charcuterie.

An appetiser of Classic Italian Wild Mushroom Puff Pastry with Smoked Ham, Endive and Stracchino Cheese (HK$298) promises to tantalise diners with its bold, smokey flavours enriched with the region’s sweet, creamy Stracchino cheese and baked until golden-brown and crispy.

Homemade Blueberry Fettuccine with Fresh Sausage and Wild Porcini Mushrooms (HK$388) is another Italian favourite that delights the senses with its combination of fresh Lombardy sausage and seasonal wild porcini mushrooms from Piedmont, plus the delicate texture of homemade fettuccine flavoured with fresh blueberries.

Chef Andrea also recommends the Slow Braised Veal Shank Ossobuco on Saffron Risotto Milanese Style (HK$428), a combination of two famous traditional dishes from Milan. The veal shank is slow cooked for four hours and its juices soak into the saffron flavoured risotto. The delicious bone marrow is full of healthy collagen.

Other must-try items include Smoked Eel Salad with Avocado, Salmon Eggs and Horseradish Dressings (HK$248), Homemade Polenta Gnocchi with Gorgonzola Cheese Sauce, Pancetta and Walnuts (HK$318) and Veal Chop Coated with Breadcrumbs Milano style with Rocket and Tomato Salad (HK$438).

Cucina invites you to indulge in the authentic Lombardy specialties. The menu is available from 5-19 September and 25 September to 20 October 2017 during lunch and dinner, accompanied by stunning Victoria Harbour views.
