With a name like Alhambra, Van Cleef & Arpels' new bling must have been inspired by the Alhambra Moorish palace complex in Granada, Spain. Indeed the name 'alhambra' literally means 'the red one' in reference to the lovely rose red colours of the stone when lit by the setting sun.
