THE SECOND LAST NIGHT WAS HELD AT THE LONG ESTABLISHED NIHONKAN CLUB ON JALAN AMPANG. I HAVE HEARD AND PASSED THIS CLUB BUT NEVER BEEN INSIDE SO I WAS EXCITED ABOUT VISITING THE PLACE. IT EVEN HAS SLOT MACHINES SAME LIKE IN LAS VEGAS BUT IS NOT A CASINO SO DON'T THINK IT IS LIKE GENTING HIGHLANDS.
AS IT IS, THE STYLO EVENT WAS HELD AT THE NEWLY REFURBISHED LOUNGE AND OPENAIR ANNEXE CALLED 'THE POOL' WHICH WOULD BE OFFICIALLY OPENED 4 DAYS LATER ON WEDNESDAY 28 MARCH SO WE WERE THE FIRST TO VIEW THE VENUE.
OWNED BY THE TALL, HANDSOME AND DAPPER DAX LEE, THE POOL IS A FABULOUS PLACE TO HANG OUT AND CHILL UP SO DROP BY FOR A VISIT AND PROVE IT TO YOURSELF. VISIT www.ThePool.com.my.
OF COURSE THERE WAS A HUGE POOL OR ELSE DAX COULD BE SUED FOR FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. THERE WAS A DANCEFLOOR WITH LIVE BAND AND ADJOINING ROOM TO RELAX AND DRINK WITH FRIENDS. THERE WAS EVEN A BALCONY OVER THE POOL BAR SO THERE IS PLENTY OF SPACE TO LINGER AND MALINGER.
There is even an exclusive area for fine dining upstairs called Kyoto Lab but why it is called a laboratory is beyond me as I did not see any mysterious test tubes bubbling with moss green liquids. Dax Lee also owns The Hill in Damansara Heights so he is the new kingpin of entertainment.

The highlight each evening, apart from gasping at my outlandish, exotically and excitingly apparel, must be the beer flowing freely courtesy of Carlsberg which not only supplied Denmark's liquid gift to the world but also Asahi and Kronenbourg, the best Japanese and French beer.
This night saw the works of 2 young designers Matilda Low and Ellie Lim whose garments were composed mainly of recycled materials and unusual fabrics including half a dozen red umbrellas! Wrapped around the model like an alien cocoon, she should be high and dry if it rained buckets. However, both designers wore new clothes and not recycled materials as they should since the preachers must practise what they preach.
I went upstairs which was happily air conditioned before traipsing down again to see Mercedes-Benz #3 driver aka safety car driver Sam Bird who sat in the driver's seat of the brand new Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster that was unveiled for the first time. Parked in front of Nihonkan, Sam Bird, Kai Schlickum and car were the cynosure of attention.
I squeaked to Sam Bird as I took his photos, "Look at me".
He answered with a grin, "Can't avoid looking at you, mate!"
I supposed he was right as I wore a totally sequinned silver jacket and brilliantly mosaic-ed vest and pants in the most lurid colours so I literally outshone everyone, including the Roadster which was also silver but not as shiny and blinky as my attire.
