Held in Johore Room at Shangri-la hotel Kuala Lumpur on 4 May 2012, BML is the first to launch its new skincare collection featuring Glutathione. Despite the widespread knowledge of Glutathione in the medical field, I am surprised the big boys like Estee Lauder, Clinique and Shiseido have never bothered to produce a Glutathione based range.


Then again, Princess Dr Becky Leogardo, founder of BML Skincare, is always a step ahead of the rest. She established BML in Kuala Lumpur 18 years ago and considers Malaysia home. BML has been a runaway success and now she is repeating the feat with her new Gluta Series that consists of only 4 products costing RM 320; soap, toner, face cream and body lotion. Easy, effective and inexpensive!


I know you are impatient to know what is Gluta and its benefits so here is Princess Dr Becky Leogardo's speech.

"Welcome to the launch of BML Gluta series. 

Thank you so much for making time to attend this launch and your presence really makes me very happy as I see old familiar faces and new ones.

You may ask what is so special about yet another beauty product launch? I know you are always invited to such events but let me assure you this is entirely different as for the first time, BML is using glutathione or gluta as it is commonly known, in our products.

Some may not have even heard of glutathione and it is not surprising as no local beauty products have incorporated it before. Gluta is already inside all our bodies so it is not a foreign agent introduced inside our bodies. Gluta is found in almost every cell. It is mostly produced by your liver and this gluta is the compound that acts as the first line of defence against free radicals, viruses, bacterial attacks or the effects of ageing. 

I am not the discoverer of gluta nor am I an expert. Medical specialists have produced 89,000 research materials over the years. Gluta has been used to treat diseases for the past 30 or so years but only recently is gluta being used as beauty treatments. Gluta is usually described as the miracle molecule, the mother of all anti-oxidants, the master detoxifier and king of the immune system.

Gluta is the secret to anti-aging, and it is also said to help prevent cancer, dementia, heart disease, Alzheimer disease, autism and more. It is so important many scientists say Gluta is the single most powerful molecule in existence that has no side effects, no collateral damage and no ill effects from over dosage!

The good news is that gluta is produced naturally in your body. The bad news is that as you age, it decreases. It is a natural process, like your hair turning grey and white as you pass 70, or your skin becoming wrinkled or you are forced to stop running marathons once you pass 60. 

Modern fast food, poor diet, mental stress, physical tension, overwork, pollution, unhealthy work environment, ageing, trauma, infection and radiation all contribute to a lower production of gluta. Even an exciting and glamorous life can decrease gluta as extremes at both sides are bad, as can be seen by the damaged lifestyle of famous stars and celebrities. So unless you can adopt a middle path, your gluta levels will drop over time.

Your liver, which produces gluta, gets overloaded with trying to detoxify your immune system and the result is premature ageing. No one except God can keep you young forever but gluta can postpone ageing to the maximum based on your body system.

The fact is this; the higher your gluta level, the less you suffer from chronic diseases like fatigue syndrome, diabetes, Parkinson disease, arthritis, asthma, kidney or liver disease. You also recover faster from illnesses if your gluta level is high.

The great advantage of gluta is that it is recycled in your body. However, if you keep adding on the toxins, your gluta may not be able to keep pace.

Many people take glutathione pills and capsules to increase their health and boost their immune system. However, I am a doctor of humanities, not a medical doctor so I do not sell gluta pills or any medicine. My new BML Gluta Series simply consists of soap, toner, facial cream and body lotion that contain high dosages of glutathione or gluta.

It is a simple but effective beauty care system that is both anti-ageing and skin whitening. There are no side effects simply because a fairer skin is produced automatically! In fact, a fairer skin IS the side effect!

Have you ever wondered why most of the leading Asian or black stars have skin that are fairer now than when they were teenagers?

 It is a fact most celebrities are fairer at 40 compared to when they were 20! Many Black, Asian and Indian stars tend to be lighter skinned now than before they became successful and famous. This is true---in my younger days, I was several shades darker than what I am today. Of course I can never be as white as a mat salleh woman but I am certainly fairer today than when I was a teenager. 

The secret is gluta! With higher dosage, gluta helps to whiten the skin by converting the dark, brown and yellow pigments into reddish white pigments. Gluta also suppresses the production of melanin so while it improves the texture and condition of your skin, it also automatically makes your skin fairer! Isn’t this a fantastic bonus? It is like killing 2 birds with 1 stone!

Usually a good skin product improves your skin only and does not  increase fairness. Or you can bleach your skin but your wrinkles and laugh lines remain. Now you get 2 for the price of 1!

Gluta pills are also called bleaching pills but personally, I believe it is better and safer to use cream and lotion for the same effect as such products are non-invasive. 

In a nutshell, gluta slows the aging process while increasing the fairness of the skin! I don’t think anyone can ask for more!
