JULIEN MACDONALD WAS THE SUPERSTAR OF THE NIGHT AS HE FLEW. WIN JUST A DAY EARLIER TO ATTEND THIS OPENING SINCE BOTH HIS READY TO WEAR COLLECTIONS ARE SELLING AT DEBENHAMS.
'Star by Julien MacDonald' and 'Diamond by Julien MacDonald' are best sellers in UK and I bet they will be jumping off the shelves and racks when Debenhams opens officially to the heaving masses tomorrow.
There was another superstar who turned up late but as he happens to own Starhill Gallery where Debenhams is located and is also Debenhams' Malaysian partner, it was OK and no one minded. For the man was Tan Sri Dr Francis Yeoh, MD of YTL Group who cut short his meeting in Indonesia and flew back just to be with us.
He missed the fashion show but made it in time for the ribbon cutting ceremony so all's well that ended well. Fortunate guests were given a storewide 20% discount and many lugged cartloads of bags home as they made full use of this one-off bargain.
