After the ceremonial cake cutting, His Majesty, accompanied by Her Majesty the Queen of Malaysia and Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, his wife Puan Sri Norainee Abdul Rahman, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammad and his wife Tun Dr Siti Hasmah stood on the royal dias to meet and greet the rakyat
Everyone and anyone could simply walk on stage to shake hands with the most powerful 7 personages in Malaysia. The Prime Minister Datuk Sri Najib Tun Razak was unable to attend as he was in Sarawak on official visit
Rich and famous, poor and unknown, the dignitaries and common folks all flocked to shake hands and say hello to the VVIPs

The cake is so high it blocks the Queen!
Next year the organisers must ensure the cake is lower
It is not the height that matters but the width!
If I move to the right then the King will be blocked!

There are no protocol to follow; just join the queue and greet your monarch!
The jovial mood and festive air was contagious
Everyone waited patiently for their turn
It was a great day for ordinary folks who would normally be unable to get up close and personal with their King and Queen plus the powerful politicians and their wives
