Showcase at Bridal Fair that Captures the Essence
of the Most Celebrated of Champagnes
Perrier-Jouët
is the drink of choice for the finest events, and this special champagne is the
perfect way to celebrate a special occasion. So it's only fitting that the
champagne used to toast the happy couple at so many weddings should itself
inspire a spectacular wedding gown.
The Perrier-Jouët wedding gown is the work of
internationally renowned fashion designer, and Perrier-Jouët brand ambassador,
Dorian Ho. During his travels to Paris for fashion week this year, he had
the chance to thoroughly immerse himself in the culture of the storied champagne
with a visit to Maison Belle Époque in Épernay.
Whilst working on his new collection of wedding
gowns for the Island Shangri-La Bridal Fair, he became inspired by the embossed
artistic anemone pattern design on the bottle of the premium Perrier-Jouët
Belle Époque, which is dazzlingly transposed into the design of the champagne
themed gown. Further inspiration came from what is inside the bottle,
dripping with silvery-white pearls that resemble the bubbles of Perrier-Jouët
champagne.
The Perrier-Jouët
wedding gown will be unveiled with the designer’s latest collection at the
Island Shangri-La Bridal Fair in August this year, and showcased by celebrity
model Jennifer Tse at the press conference on August 16. The price of the dazzling
wedding gown is estimated to be over HK$1 million.
Commenting on the
new collection, Dorian Ho said, “this is the first-ever collaboration between Perrier-Jouët
and a fashion designer. Perrier-Jouët has
long embraced the design community and partnered with different artists. It is
my honor to be the first designer to create this wedding gown for the brand with
such an elegant source of
inspiration. I have tried to produce
something that aspires to the same level of rarefied quality and delightful
effervescence.”
