A capacity crowd of nearly 1,500 thronged the ballroom foyer as early as 9 am although the talk was slotted to start at 10am.
Lillian Too's legion of fans and followers came early to check out the new feng shui cures, protectors and enhancers and to buy them at 20% discount before they were sold out! All the must-haves were usually gone by lunch break and savvy attendees now made their purchases before the seminar started and then put their feng shui goodies in the car! This allows them to be free of having to carry the heavy stuff!
Since I was car-less, I begged Kenji Chan, the Internet Manager of Feng Shui World magazine, to put what I wanted to one side as I was sitting in the VIP Front Row and did not want to clutter the floor with 5 big bags.
The way Lillian Too's feng shui items jumped off the tables is a phenomenon by itself. Anyone walking past would think they were free at the rate the items were grabbed. One guy even asked if he could buy one of my two Wish Granting Trees as they had sold out! Of course I said No.
If I were Lillian Too, I would INCREASE the prices! Instead the kind Buddhist gave a discount of 20% and on top of that, for every RM 400 a free, quality T-shirt was given! I got 8!
As usual, the Extravaganza was like a social gathering cum learning session as friends greeted each other and new friendships forged.
Most have been coming to Lillian Too's Feng Shui Extravaganza for years just to enjoy seeing and hearing the world's greatest feng shui master and author in action.
Of course you can buy her books and learn everything but just as fans attend live concerts of superstars, seeing the feng shui expert live is a different experience.
Most of her franchisees from across the globe also came to pay their respect to Lillian Too.
As usual, Lillian Too was mobbed like a superstar and took ages for her to reach the stage as many fans asked to be photographed with her!
Feng shui practitioners were already making purchases at 8.30am when the session was supposed to start at 10 am!
