Alex Quay is definitely the best looking, smartest and luckiest 10 year old in the observable universe. This is a fact no one can argue. Maybe someone else is better looking, smarter and luckier but he certainly ain't 10 year old! So in this category, Alex Quay wins hands down.
I have never met a more engaging smart-alex than this little guy who means the world to his parents. Dato Nancy Yeoh loves him so much when she had cancer last year, she vowed she would stay alive because she refused to let Alex grow up motherless, come hell, hailstone or high water. It was Alex's love who made Dato Nancy Yeoh bounced back to health!
Anyway, on 28 April which was Sunday, around 70 folks big and small gathered at MaiBar on the rooftop of Aloft hotel to celebrate Alex Quay's 10th birthday.
A magician kept the kids amused while the pool was well patronised by them but no adults took the plunge.
A lovely touch; each guest was given a guppy fish inside a plastic bowl to bring home!
I took 2 bowls since I gave Alex Quay, my greatest 10 year old idol in observable universe,
a fabulous jade pendant.
Later in the evening, Dato Nancy texted me in wonderment; Alex Quay received tons of presents but went to bed with my jade pendant next to his pillow!
I almost shouted for joy! What an honour! I consider this one of my greatest achievements in my entire life! To have Alex Quay choose my jade pendant present to be next to him as he slept is something to blog about!
