PUAN SRI DR SUSAN CHEAH, DIRECTOR OF SUNWAY GROUP AND WIFE OF TAN SRI JEFFREY CHEAH, BOSS OF SUNWAY GROUP, RELEASED 2 BOOKS ON 12 APRIL 2013 AT SUNWAY RESORT, HOTEL AND SPA (WHERE ELSE SINCE HUBBY OWNS THE JOINT) AT LOBBY LOUNGE.
The 2 books are launched!

Dato Anne Eu, chairman of Eu Yan Sang Malaysia with her exclusive copy of 'Passion and Commitment. No, her face is not on the cover of the book but a clever ploy was used. Each donor of RM 20,000 had her photo pasted on the cover as a special souvenir! Such a brilliant idea and so meaningful to the donor!

A sigh of disappointment rose when it was announced the VIP guest of honour Datin Paduka Seri Rosmah Dato Mansor was unable to come to launch the book due to last minute election commitments.
In place of the First Lady was Datuk Heng Seai Kie, Advisor to Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development and former Deputy Minister of Women, Family and Community Development.
Datuk Heng Seai Kie read Datin Paduka Seri Rosmah's speech, "I know Malaysia will benefit from your involvement in these books and activities organised under the spirit of patriotism and for the peace, goodwill and harmony.
"The 2 books Passion and Commitment and Peace, Harmony and Goodwill are published for a good cause with sales of both books going to 'Education Initiative Charity' or EIC.
"The Prime Minister has given his support for women to attain 30% of top management and directorship positions by 2016. These are godo news for the Wanita!
"Education Initiative Charity EIC is in line with the objectives of our Prime Minister through the Government Transformation Programme (GTP)
to raise the living standards of the poor or low-income household, create jobs for the underprivileged, increase incomes and provide welfare assistance.
"I thank and congratulate everyone in doing this voluntarily. Volunteerism is a virtue as it is a selfless contribution and we need more people like you."
'You' refers to all the friends and acquaintances of Puan Sr Dr Susan Cheah she encountered over the decades. Their photos are featured in 'Peace, Goodwill and Harmony' while 'Passion and Commitment' is a dossier of leading Malaysian women business women and do-gooders (a few men!) who paid RM 10,000 to RM 20,000 to appear in this historic tome. All monies collected have gone to Education Initiative Charity so it is for a good cause and not into Puan Sri Dr Susan Cheah's pocket!
Datin Paduka Seri Rosmah's speech concluded with a quote; "A thousand candles can be lighted from 1 candle and the life of the original one candle will not be shortened. Happiness increases only when shared."
In her welcome speech, Puan Sri Dr Susan Cheah said, "In this journey of life, I have been blessed with meeting warm and generous people whon have have shown their kindness and generosity to the less fortunate while expecting nothing in return. These are the people who inspire and enlighten my outlook in life.
"The Education Initiative Charity sponsors the education of children from single mothers and underprivileged families. Education is the key to reducing poverty and increasing wealth which can break the cycle of poverty.
"We are grateful that the Government is very concerned and committed to assist women, single mothers and poor families which encourages us even more in this undertaking.
"All sales of the 2 books 'Passion and Commitment' and 'Peace, Goodwill and Harmony" will go towards Education Initiative Charity."
Puan Sri Dr Susan Cheah noted, "Datin Paduka Seri Rosmah sends her apologies for not being able to be with us this morning due to electoral matters but her thoughts are with us."
