MANDARIN ORIENTAL HONG KONG CELEBRATES 50 FANTASTIC YEARS!
In Hong Kong there are 3 grand hotels; Mandarin Oriental, The Peninsula and Intercontinental which oldies may remember as The Regent.
Of course being so high class, rich fabulous and blessed by Buddha and Jesus Christ, I have stayed at all three on many, many occasions!
I am hard pressed to say which is the best as each hotel has incredible selling points.
Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong is the oldest and most established and has been Number 1 for as long as anyone cares to remember. Its location is unrivalled as it reigns supreme in Central, the heart of Hong Kong's business, finance and shopping centre.
Now it is celebrating its 50th birthday! How time flies and seems like yesterday when I first stayed there.
To commemorate its half century of providing unsurpassed service, accommodation and food, Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong is offering some special packages.
So now is the time to visit Hong Kong and live it up, more so when Malaysia is being choked to death by deadly haze and smog and dust particles from Indonesia's forest fires!
The highlight is the 'Fantastic and 50' package for 2 nights for about RM 12,300 for 2 persons.
Members of the lower classes will have to settle for 'Golden Celebration Stay' at a mere RM 1,800 for 2 nights which is considered almost cheap for Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong! The last time it cost me RM 1,120 per night and now is only RM 900!
The bathroom is one of the reasons!
The modernist Lichfield Suite
Deluxe Suite
Mandarin Suite living room
The 2 Kuan Yins staring at the naked bather seems sacrilegious to me so I shall not soak in this Mandarin Suite bathroom. Statues of gods and goddesses should NEVER be purposely placed inside bathrooms or toilets where you sit, shit and stare at the gods! Bad feng shui!
The Connaught Room
The Mandarin barber shop!
Swimming pool
Kneip pool and ice fountain
Mandarin Spa Treatment room
Mandarin Spa reception
Mandarin Oriental lobby which is famous the world over, just like Mandarin Oriental Bangkok lobby
ManWah chinese restaurant
M Bar
Krug Champagne Room
