This small, ordinary, nondescript building houses some of the most precious and glorious, 900-year old Byzantine paintings!

This small church contains such treasures I could hardly contain myself



Can you believe this single storey building is a UNESCO listed cultural treasure? Believe it!

Small and perfectly formed, this treasury stands in splendid isolation with no skyscraper, souvenir stalls or McDonalds in sight! It can well be the same vista 900 years ago!

Due to the intercession of Mother Mary, no tourists were around which was a miracle as normally it is impossible to take this pristine photo without dozens of visitors!
