Kee Hua Chee opens his legs to show his face on his groin, Judy Choong and the Long Cool Dane Henrik Andersen. The dress code was 'Dressed to Survive' but Kee did not understand what that meant since the world did not end in 2012 so he wore his face on his chest, crotch and ass.
AT FIRST I THOUGHT THE BEACH CLUB HAD BEEN RENOVATED BUT IT NEVER CLOSED SO HOW COULD ITS INTERIORS BE REVAMPED WITH ITS USUAL CROWD PARTYING EACH NIGHT? I WENT THERE ONLY TO BE TOLD THE CARLSBERG PARTY WAS AT THE NEW BEACH CLUB 3 MINUTES' WALK AWAY TOWARDS KLCC. 2 MINUTES IF YOU HAVE LONG LEGS LIKE ME.
The new Beach Club Cafe used to be ALOHA and the Pacific spirit remains as the service staff uniforms are colourful, South Sea batik prints. I forgot to ask Judy Choong the owner of Beach Club and lots of other entertainment and dining venues for a shirt which I will have sequinned and embellished with crystals for more impact.
Anyway, on hand to welcome me were the usual jolly and hospitable Carlsberg team headed by the Long Cool Dane Henrik J. Andersen and Pearl Lai. Club owner and long time friend Judy Choong introduced me to her son Casey who is the spitting image of Ronnie Choong who tragically passed away not too long ago. When I saw Casey Choong, I gasped as I thought he was Ronnie Choong from Federal Club days! What God takes, He gives back! Casey Choong is tall, handsome and charming, a clone of his dad! His sister Jean Choong is the Operations Manager of Trend Matrix which owns Emporium Grand Cafe, Rum Jungle, Nouvo, Poppy Garden, Sangria Island Bar & Restaurant and Hotel Havanita but let's forget about Havanita as it is in Mersing, Johore and nowhere near KL's Golden Triangle!
Judy Choong looks 30 as usual but must be marginally older as her 2 kids are adults. She also showed her singing prowess when she took to the stage to sing a Chinese classic number.
TRUST ME, JUDY CHOONG IS NOT THE ORIGINAL SIN DESPITE WHAT THE SIGN SAYS BEHIND HER!!!
Not to be outdone and at the behests of everyone, Carlsberg Malaysia Managing Director Henrik J. Andersen also went on stage with an Indian friend to sing 'Come Up To Carlsberg' the national anthem of Denmark. OK so this ditty is not the Danish national anthem but it is the loveliest, sexiest and catchiest commercial song ever penned and promotes Denmark 24/7. Cheers!
