Pavilion Pit Stop Revs Up the Grand Prix Season with #stylestory Gala

It was indeed a night to remember for those who attended the Pavilion Pit Stop Gala Fashion Preview. The exclusive event at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur’s centre court was flanked by Malaysian glitterati, celebrities, fashion forward editors and journalists who were part of Pavilion Kuala Lumpur’s grand opening to their Pit Stop celebration week.

As a frontrunner in the fashion industry, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur aimed to present a campaign that was fresh, sociable and personalised to its patrons. The chosen theme for this year - #PavilionKLStyleStory is a theme that acted as a platform for fashionistas to share their style aspirations. To participate in this competition, shoppers needed to upload a photo of themselves at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur with the hashtag (#PavilionKLStyleStory).

The Pavilion Pit Stop Gala Fashion Preview was a line-up of sizzling fashion shows from prestigious brands Repetto, Karen Millen and Diane von Furstenberg. Repetto opened with an enthralling ballet performance, followed by a trendy fashion show from Karen Millen. Diane von Furstenberg’s stunning runway collection was truly a feast for the eyes as the finale, with several of the brand’s outfits worn by attending celebrities that night. Mother and daughter duo Salamiah Hassan and Atilia wowed the crowd with soulful and energetic vocal performances.

Among the attending celebrities were Miss Universe Malaysia 2010 Nadine Ann Thomas, Miss Universe Malaysia 2001 Tung Mei Chin, supermodel Gwen Lu and models Carey Ng, John Oh and Danielle Graham. Pavilion Pit Stop is an annual fashion week held during the Malaysian Grand Prix season.

For the second night in a row, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur played host to one of the most anticipated fashion previews - the Pavilion Kuala Lumpur ‘IT’ Party that was held to celebrate Pavilion Pit Stop. In partnership with MasterCard, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur featured the most fashion-forward brands such as Oroton, Sacoor Brothers, Cole Haan, Hackett London, La Martina, Rimowa, Pepe Jeans, Bread and Butter, Replay and Ben Sherman.

Pavilion Kuala Lumpur collaborates with MasterCard to bring fashionistas a night of thrilling surprises

For the second night in a row, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur played host to one of the most anticipated fashion previews - the Pavilion Kuala Lumpur ‘IT’ Party that was held to celebrate Pavilion Pit Stop. In partnership with MasterCard, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur invited fashionistas and trend innovators to flaunt their #stylestory and celebrate Pavilion Pit Stop, an annual fashion week held during the F1 season in Malaysia.

The fashion show opened with Indonesian singing sensation Marcell, who wowed the crowd with his stunning performance. Brands such as Oroton, Sacoor Brothers, Cole Haan, Hackett London, La Martina, Rimowa, Pepe Jeans, Bread and Butter, Replay and Ben Sherman were part of the fabulous repertoire that evening.  The party and shopping continued after the stunning fashion show at Fashion Avenue, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur’s newest fashion precinct where RM50,000 worth of prizes were given away to guests. Among the attending guests were Miss Universe Malaysia 2010 Nadine Ann Thomas, Miss Universe Malaysia 2001 Tung Mei Chin, Miss World Malaysia 2009 Thanuja Ananthan, local singer Dayang Nurfaizah, actor and model Kit Mah, TV host Choo Mei Sze, model and TV host Timothy Sangawa, TV host and model Patricia K, TV host Joey G and founder of A Cut Above Winnie Loo.

Themed #PavilionKLStyleStory, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur presented a new approach to celebrating Pavilion Pit Stop by encouraging fashionistas to share their style aspirations. This new approach added a fresh and sociable twist to the campaign which provided shoppers with an avenue to share their style story in a personal way to a larger audience. To participate in this competition, shoppers needed to upload a photo of themselves at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur with the hashtag (#PavilionKLStyleStory).
