MIGF 2014---PART 1; MARINI'S ON 57 AT PETRONAS TOWER 3 ON 57TH FLOOR CONFIRMS IT IS KUALA LUMPUR'S BEST AND MOST INNOVATIVE RESTAURANT. AT A STAGGERING RM 1,342.10 PER PERSON FOR THE MIGF FESTIVAL MENU WITH WINE PER PERSON, IT HAD BETTER BE!

MARINI'S ON 57 HAS ESTABLISHED ITSELF AS MALAYSIA'S FINEST ITALIAN RESTAURANT AND NATURALLY ITS MENU CANNOT BE ACCUSED OF BEING CHEAP OR EVEN MILDLY AFFORDABLE!

Peasants and members of the lower classes can count themselves out from ever stepping into Marini's on 57's hallowed hall and will have to wait for their next incarnation.

Marini's on 57 makes no excuses for pricing itself out from ho-hum, run of mill restaurants as RM 1,342.10 for the MIGF Festival Menu is not exactly chicken feed unless you are Tan Sri Francis Yeoh or Ananda Krishnan.

As a member of the upper class I have been there several times and am always amazed this frightfully expensive restaurant is usually 80% to 90% full! Just shows if you have a great restaurant, people will flock to you!

Under the ministrations of husband and wife team Marini Modesto and Elizabeth Hew, Marini's on 57 is truly at the top of their game. Literally too as it is the highest restaurant in Malaysia on the 57th floor of Petronas Tower 3 adjoining Petronas Twin Towers with towering views of the twin towers.

Location wise, Marini's on 57 cannot be beaten and food wise too!

So if an occasion demands the finest and most creative food, superlative service, posh environment and fantastic views to die for, this is it!

Even more amazing is the fact Chef Fabio Ruggiero is all of 27 and even younger than me! Just shows age has nothing to do with talent!

By the grace of God, Buddha and Jesus, my MIGF dinner at Marini's on 57 was my first meal in Kuala Lumpur after I became a Pahang Dato! 

I reached Kuala Lumpur around 1 am on 27 October 2014 from Pekan where I received my Datoship at Istana Abu Bakar and was so tired I slept till 4 pm! I ate nothing as I wanted to savour the best cuisine in the best restaurant so dinner was my first meal as a Dato! I will remember this MIGF dinner to the day I enter heaven.
