Lembaga Kebajikan Perempuan Islam Malaysia (LKPIM)
Lembaga
Setiap
negeri mempunyai cawangan termasuklah negeri Pahang. LKPIM Pahang sangat
syarikat, korporat, orang perseorangan mahupun kerajaan. Terima kasih saya
Yayasan Sri Kenchana
Kalsom (YSKK)
Malaysia, while
approaching the threshold of Vision 2020, aims to eradicate poverty and crime.
It is disheartening to say that domestic violence in the form of rape, incest
and battery are on the rise.
To help out victims of such crime, Yayasan Sri Kencana Kalsom,
YSKK was founded in March 2000 under the patronage of HRH Sultanah Pahang,
Sultanah Hajjah Kalsom. YSKK fully operated in Kuantan in 2002, is a shelter
home and a center offering aid and shelter for all persons who are physically,
sexually or mentally abused.
YSKK works very closely with Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat, Polis,
Hospital from all districts in Pahang and also other East Coast states like
Terengganu and Kelantan.
YSKK objective is to render immediate protection or shelter to all
victims irrespectice of age, sex, race or religion. YSKK Help them to get in
touch with the relevant bodies to help solve their problems. YSKK also provide
medical services, legal advise and counseling to these victims.
Being a non-governmental organization, YSKK is fully dependent on
donations from the public and all donations are tax exempted.
Malaysian Crime Prevention foundation (MCPF PHG )
Dgn adanya pemimpin
KIWANIS
The
official launching of the Club was in July 2001, we have been steadily growing
each year, both in the number of students attending the centre (from 13 Nos to
42 Nos), and in the goals and objectives that we have succeeded in achieving.
In 2002, the 1st
Kiwanis Children’s Centre was established in Kuantan, and we were honoured by
HRH Sultanah Kalsom becoming our Patron. During this year, 5 major public
events were carried out, and we celebrated the first of what were to become
Annual Charity Gala Nights.
2003 – 2014 numerous
public awareness programs about Downs Syndrome, Autism & Asperger being
held in the community, and we employed 4 Nos full time experienced
teachers.
The launch of the 1st Kiwanis Youth Job Training
Centre. This innovative program would be the first step for our older
students to learn a skill that would enable them to earn their own money, and
contribute their skills to the community.
Installed
our first Ambassador Mrs Vee Harness to the Kiwanis Club of Kuantan, an
administrator, and two centre advisors. With these new and welcome
additions, getting the message of awareness across to the community was much
enhanced, each Ambassador getting out and about to promote the skills and
benefits that a child can receive by attending the Centre.
In
total we carried out 5 Charity Gala Dinners successfully.
Carried
out numerous Family day events, inter club activities, health and awareness
programs, and membership drives.
Installed
our 2nd Ambassador Natalie working at top speed!
Valuable
knowledge was gained by members of the centre visiting other Kiwanis Clubs and
Workshops in Malaysia, and they returned armed with new skills and projects
that will help us further our progress at Kuantan.
Enhance
our children training courses, youth job training to include bakery, greeting
cards, door gifts and etc,
Confidently
hosted the 8th Kiwanis Convention 2008 in Kuantan which is the 1st
in East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia.
Our
children and youth in our Center has increase from 13 Nos in 2001 to 42 Nos in
2014.
More
teachers were send for training in KDSF KL to enhance and “raise the bar” on
their teaching skill and knowledge which include Early Intervention Program
(EIP), Behaviour Modification(BM), Music Therapy (MT) and etc).
We
set our roots permanently in Kuantan by acquiring a building we can call home.
We bought over the very building we have been renting for the past 11 years.
