The Danang
International Fireworks Competition also known as DIFC is an annual international fireworks competition hosted by
Danang City, Vietnam. The Danang International Fireworks Competition made its
debut in Vietnam in 2008. Since then because of its tremendous success, the
city decided to organise the event annually.
However after DIFC 2013, the city decided to hold the event once every two years.
The competition usually
takes place at the end of April with the participation of Four (4)
international competitors and the host team, team Danang of Danang City.
The event is regarded by many as the biggest and best fireworks competition in the world. The video captures some of the scale of the spectacular fireworks and the excitement of the booming city of Da Nang, Vietnam.

Each year, top
international firework teams perform to an official theme. This year the
official theme for the event was ‘Love for the Han River’. The event is held at
Han River. The event is hosted over Two (2) nights with Five (5) stunning
displays.
The Danang Culture department also organises supporting events that is staged in-between the displays; dance performances and famous Vietnamese singers. The whole event is televised live on national TV to whole Vietnam.

Coming Danang on the
occasion of international fireworks competition, visitors will experience a
colourful party of firework performances on Han River, Danang City.
The scenery is the most beautiful and majestic ever by night. Upon the celebration, there are many recreational activities such as art performance, fireworks photo exhibition and water sports. Those all will offer tourists an exciting festival and deep impression on that charming riverside city.

DIFC which is considered a "signature event” of this
city is organized as one of the most effective events in Vietnam. The happiness
and pride of not only the members of local administration but also local and
enamouring residents can easily be witnessed at every DIFC.
According to press reports, the
competition drew close to 500,000 tourists, up 15% from the year 2013. All
flights in and out of Danang during DIFC are fully booked and as well as the
hotels in Danang and in Hoi-An.
The competition is produced by
Malaysian company Global2000 since 2008. Global2000 also design the Firing pad,
fireworks set up, all technical and logistics for the international teams.
Staging Five teams over Two nights over a limited firing space is not an easy
task. Global2000 makes sure of all safety aspects of the competition.
