LUANG PU TUAD WAS BORN IN 1582 IN SONGKHLA IN SOUTHERN THAILAND AND DIED IN 1682 AGED 100 YEARS IN KAMPUNG KALA IN LENGGONG IN PERAK! HENCE THE SHRINE LOCATED IN THIS SLEEPY AREA.

LUANG PU TUAD WAS CHINESE AND HIS NAME MEANS 'GRANDFATHER'.

WORSHIPPERS COME TO THIS SMALL TEMPLE IN PERAK TO PRAY TO LUANG PU TUAD WHO GRANTS THEIR WISHES.

LUANG PU TUAD PERFORMED MIRACLES AND HIS MOST FAMOUS WAS TURNING SALTISH SEAWATER INTO FRESH DRINKING WATER! THIS OCCURRED DURING THE CELEBRATED BOAT TRIP WHEN THE BOAT NEARLY CAPSIZED AND THEIR FOOD AND DRINKING WATER WERE WASHED OVERBOARD.

IT CAN BE SAFELY SAID EVERY THAI KNOWS OF LUANG PU TUAD AND THERE ARE MANY TEMPLES IN THAILAND DEDICATED TO HIM. APART FROM BUDDHA AND KUAN YIN, LUANG PU TUAD IS THE MOST REVERED AND FAMOUS WHO THAIS PRAY TO.

YET NOT MANY KNOW THIS HOLY MAN DIED IN MALAYSIA IN LENGGONG, PERAK.
