Dinner In The Sky Malaysia takes off with a blast!
After much anticipation, Dinner In The Sky Malaysia was officially launched on 1st August 2015 at KL Tower.
The historical moment was officiated by Tony Nagamaiah, General Manager of Malaysia Major Events and Dato’ Brian Corvers, Managing Director of 2Spicy Entertainment.
The private and fabulous launch event was graced by 40 guests and celebrities from diverse backgrounds like Dato’ Siti Nurhaliza and husband Dato’ Sri Khalid Mohamad Jiwa, Dato’ Lee Chong Wei, Amber Chia, Vanessa Tevi the reigning Miss Malaysia Universe, Dato’ Ruby Khong and many more.
The event that kicked off at 7pm had guests strapped onto their seats to “board” and have a “flight” of their lifetime. They dined to a five course meal prepared by Chef Marc Fery of Hilton Kuala Lumpur and watched the sun set into the horizon of Kuala Lumpur city.
The event was made more festive and memorable with a 2 minute fireworks display that glimmered the skies of the city.
The first of its kind in South East Asia, Dinner In The Sky Malaysia is brought to you by 2Spicy Entertainment and endorsed by Malaysia Major Events (MME).
With an amazing view of Kuala Lumpur’s skyline, this spectacular dining experience will be a month long event. Tickets were launched on 9 July and sold out within 48 hours!
An additional dinner and dessert session were sold on 23rd July and that too sold out within 24 hours.
Started in May 2006 in Brussels, Belgium, this unique dinner experience uses a crane to hoist diners, table and waiting staff 150 feet off into the air giving them an amazing bird’s eye view whilst enjoying exquisite culinary feast.
In Kuala Lumpur, this thrilling experience is hoisted next to the KL Tower for the month of August, giving diners a spectacular view of the tower and the PETRONAS Twin Towers.
To complete this experience, diners can expect to just not marvel at the view but take their gastronomically journey to a whole different level with the exquisite food served by award winning flagship hotel, Hilton Kuala Lumpur.
Dinner In The Sky Malaysia observes its safety measures to an utmost level. While seated guests will wear safety belts, standing presenter and crew are secured by safety harnesses all the time during the flight.
A safety supervisor will brief patrons about all the safety regulations prior to the flight and will be in constant communication with crane operator and ground crew for a smooth flight.
This has been approved by TÜV SÜD, the German organisation that validates the safety of products of all kinds to protect humans and the environment against hazards.
The organisers are also working closely with DOSH (Department of Occupational Safety & Health Malaysia) to ensure all elements of safety are well observed.

The organisers have confirmed plans of extending the experience and bring it to other parts of Malaysia.
