FEVER REACHES IT’S ZENITH AS CAST AND CREW OF SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER THE MUSICAL
ARRIVES IN MALAYSIA
Start practicing your best 'do the hustle' moves because the talented cast and
crew of the Asian production of Saturday Night Fever the Musical are coming to
town.
Milestone Production, together with Malaysia Major Events, is proud to
finally bring these world-class performers to Kuala Lumpur—where they will be
performing at Istana Budaya from September 4th to 13th .
Saturday Night Fever tells the story of Tony
Manero, a young Italian- American man with a talent to dance. As immortalised
forever by the performance of John Travolta in the 1977 film that inspired the
musical, Tony has only one ambition: to become the disco king. When he meets
Stephanie Mangano, who also dreams of a life beyond the city, they decide to
train together for a dance competition and their lives are changed forever.
Before they take the stage in the opening
show on September 4, the leading stars for this beloved musical gave a teaser
on what to expect at a special media meet-and-greet event at Johnny Rockets
Pavillion KL on September 1st.
Principal performers Brandon
Rubendall, Jenna Rubaii and Nick Varricchio who plays Tony, Stephanie and
Double J respectively for this production, were in attendance at this event
together with the show’s official organizer Milestone Production Managing
Director, Grace Lee.
Having been on many tours which include Wicked, Spiderman:Turn Off The Dark and Hairspray,
Brandon has performed alongside Jennifer Lopez and Beyonce. His co-star Jenna
has been on tours for great musicals such as Grease, Pride and Prejudice
and 54 Forever.
These two seasoned
stage performers is slated to give a sneak-peek performance at the
meet-and-greet session as a treat. And not to forget, the dashing Nick
Varricchio who plays Double J in the musical. Nick was born
and raised in Cleveland and has
performed in Broadway and have been on many musical tours which include ‘A
Chorus Line’ , ‘Spring Awakening’ , ‘Cabaret’ , ‘Chicago’ , ‘Into The Woods’ ;
‘Cinderella’ and many more.
Be
ready to sing along and do the hustle to the tunes of the Bee Gees as their
arrival here in KL marks the beginning of a renaissance of disco fever in Kuala
Lumpur.
Under the watchful eye of award-winning Filipina director Bobby Garcia, this Asian Tour 2015 production will be imbued with a
slight contemporary edge while retaining the film’s grittiness and realistic
portrayal of the disco era and the entertainment value of its music and dance
moves.
Saturday
Night Fever The Musical Asian Tour 2015, brought to Malaysia by Milestone
Production, will play at Istana Budaya from Sept 4 to 13. Tickets are priced at RM568 (VVIP), RM398
