WHEN RESORTS WORLD GENTING THROWS A PARTY, REST ASSURED IT IS TO BE REMEMBERED AND CHERISHED AND SO IT WAS WITH OKTOBERFEST 2015!

Held inside the cavernous and super exclusive RM 20,000 membership Genting Club, Oktoberfest was a beer guzzling and sausage gobbling feast to end all parties.

At the entrance of Genting Club were 2 frauleins in traditional German Bavarian costumes we all associate with Oktoberfest. You know, frilly white blouse and armlets plus sexy corsets tied until their boobs look ready to pop out for breath of fresh air plus flouncy full skirt, stockings and high heels. Enough to make you sway before drinking a drop of beer.

Speaking of beers, Genting Club offered some 50 different beers, from locally brewed Carlsberg said to be best in  world to exotic beers like Savannah from South Africa to Stella Artoise which advertises itself as 'reassuringly the most expensive beer'! Though Oktoberfest is a German festival, the beers were from across the globe.

As for food, I thought  I was in heaven though I was only 6,000 feet up in the sky. The pork sausages like frankfurters, bratwursts, knackwursts and other wursts so delicious it makes the worst day good again.

There are some 1,200 types of sausages in Germany but thank god Genting Club only offered 6 of the most popular. 

The star dish was crispy pork belly which is like the Chinese siew yok but done German style which was juicy yet crispy with divine crunchy skin to die for. I ate and ate till I reached the Plimsoll line and was unable to move from my chair for at least 15 minutes. If an earthquake had struck, I would have to sit still and hope for the best that the ceiling would not fall on my head. It was that good.

There was no Ompah Pah band with rotund, rosy-cheeked German men wearing lederhosen but we had something better---an all female German band! Four beautiful blonde and brunette frauleins flown in for the  occasion at great expense and singing popular hits in English and not German so we could all understand and appreciate. All dressed in the traditional and alluring dirndls.

There was also a Filipino band whose lead singer organised super fun and raunchy fun contests.

All we could say was 'Prost'! Which means 'Yumseng' in German OK!
