Still, you save lots on taxi fares or skytrain MRT since all the mega shopping venues are within walking distance. On the last day, visit Jim Thompson House, the Silk king of Thailand which is almost right next door at the end of the small lane. And opposite MBK shopping mall is Bangkok Art & Culture Centre which is 5 minutes walk if you are healthy like me or 8 minutes walk if you are a dinosauric old bag.
Keep these options on your last day as you can easily and quickly walk back to Holiday Inn Express Siam so you don't have to panic if you cannot get a taxi or sweat buckets if caught in a traffic jam and you haven't finished packing.
