The search is on for married
women to showcase their confidence, intelligence and beauty through the Mrs
Malaysia Tourism Queen and Classic Mrs Malaysia Tourism Queen 2017 beauty
pageants.
Organised by Sentinel Pageant Sdn
Bhd, the pageants offers two contest categories - Mrs Malaysia Tourism Queen
for married Malaysian women or permanent residents aged between 25 and 40 while
Classic Mrs Malaysia Tourism Queen is for those aged 41 and above.

Queen will represent Malaysia in the Mrs Tourism Queen International contest with beauty queens from over 40 other countries slated to
take place in April next year for the first time in Malaysia!
Pageant director Jenet Foo said Mrs Tourism Queen International is the sister-pageant of the famous
Miss Tourism Queen International beauty contest while Mrs Malaysia Tourism Queen will be held in Malaysia for the first time.
“The pageant aims to empower and
connect married women, be they homemakers, business women or entrepreneurs apart from recognising their accomplishments and contributions. Being married
with two young children myself, our world does not end there. In fact, it is a
new beginning for us to remain beautiful, elegant and confident.
"Married women today should be admired for their charisma, intelligence and individuality. But through these pageants, married women can now be recognised in contributing
to our nation’s vision of promoting Malaysia as a tourist destination to the
world,” enthused Jenet, who has won numerous beauty pageant titles, including
the Mrs Malaysia World 2015.
She said the pageant will
also serve as a platform to conduct more corporate social responsibility
programmes to create more social awareness, including teaching the
younger generation to be compassionate.
A key highlight is a charity dinner called “Dazzling Stars Musicale Nite” with Lotus Heart Association on 9 July
2017 at Restaurant Hee Loi Tun Centre Stage, Petaling Jaya. There will be
voluntary idols, singers, champion vocal teacher
from a singing academy and beauty queens to make it a night of splendour and fun.
The target is to raise RM100,000 for food and activities benefiting
under-privileged children and old folks homes such as Charis Elderly Home @
Ampang and Pusat Jagaan Sehati @ Sg. Long.
In addition, RM5,000 will each be given to Lee
Pooi Yee 34, diagnosed with Spinocerebellar
Ataxia causing her difficulty in walking and Chang Weng Yew 8 with hearing problem since birth and requiring Cochlear Implant his parents cannot afford.
The pageant's unique crown is specially designed by Jenet herself, adorned with pearls and crystal gems with an alluring lilac hue. “Lilac is the colour of grace, beauty and elegance and
has long been associated with royalty. It also represents the uniqueness of an
individual. Therefore the shimmering crown that symbolises a wise married
woman is also an external reflection of a queen’s inner beauty,” she said.
Pageant hopefuls will be judged on their charisma, confidence and beauty. Interested participants must send their personal particulars together with a recent full
length photograph by email to sentipageant@gmail.com. The application form will
then be sent to them.
Registration fee is RM500.
Closing date for registration is on June 10, 2017 followed by an audition,
whereby the date and location will be announced later. Pageant finalists will tour various places of interest for filming and other
activities to promote tourism in line with Malaysia’s target of achieving
31.8 million visitors in 2017 under the theme 'Malaysia Truly Asia'. Videos of
the activities will be showcased later.
The grand finale will be held at
the Shangri-La Hotel in Kuala Lumpur on November 24, 2017 attended by former beauty queens. For more information, check out the Facebook

Information
Mrs Tourism Queen International is the sister pageant to the famous
Miss Tourism Queen International pageant, which has been running since 1993.
The difference being that the Mrs Tourism Queen International pageant is aimed
specifically at married women.
The Mrs Tourism Queen
International Pageant seeks to empower married women and to encourage them that
they too can be beautiful and attractive even though they are married with
children.
This is also a platform to lead
the beauty queens to be involved and to volunteer at various community events
to give back to society in the long run.
As the pageant name suggests, the
platform is unique as it also promote tourism and culture exchange in the
respective countries that the pageant is held and ultimately in the host
tourist city of the Mrs Tourism Queen International 2017 finals.
The Mrs Tourism Queen International
pageant aims to be the vehicle to capture the unique essence of the famous
Malaysian multiracial culture, hospitality and unique way of life through the
eyes of these beauties. Memories of Malaysia would linger long in the
contestants’ mind.

The Pageant Director, Jenet Foo & Sentinel Pageant Sdn Bhd
Jenet Foo is a mother of two
young children - a wonderful boy, 7, and a beautiful girl, 4. She got involved
in beauty pageants initially as a contestant, joining the Mrs Malaysia World
2015 show and was subsequently crowned the winner.
Jenet developed an interest in
the Mrs Pageants from the enriching experience she had. When she was invited to
be the chairperson of the Mrs Malaysia World 2016, she jumped at the
opportunity. Putting in much hard work and effort, Jenet handled, first hand,
the entire process from audition, selection, training and mentoring of all the
28 finalists who went up stage at the Mrs Malaysia World 2016 final. In
addition, Jenet also personally mentor Mrs Malaysia World 2016, Datin Geraldine
S. Bigar and Mrs Borneo World 2016, Ann Hee to compete in the Mrs World 2016
pageant held in Seoul, Korea last year.
While getting involved in the
process, Jenet had the opportunity to meet the pageants' license holder Alex Liu the Founder and
President of Miss and Mrs Tourism Queen International Pageant and Sean Chia,
the Director of ERM Marketing Sdn Bhd.
Both were so impressed with Jenet’s ability and the outcome of the Mrs Malaysia World 2016 pageant they offered her to be the pageant director of Mrs Malaysia Tourism Queen 2017 and Mrs Tourism Queen International 2017.

her the chance to achieve her vision of restoring the confidence and empowering

Pageant Sdn Bhd to administer, produce and organize the Mrs Malaysia Tourism Queen and
Mrs Tourism Queen International pageants.
