IN THE WORDS OF OLIVIA LOH, DAUGHTER O FOUNDERS ROBERT AND LILY LOH
“As we launch
LORD’s 1974, we want to take a moment to celebrate the heritage of where we
have come from and where we are heading. The brand is truly a testament to the
many years of dedication and hard work poured into a passion that our founder
had more than 40 years ago to make people look good.
And that’s something
people don’t know about my dad Robert Loh. His ultimate joy is to see a suit that
perfectly fits the client and that is the drive behind our brand.
For more than
40 years, Mr and Mrs Loh has worked tirelessly to build up a brand that they
are very proud of and believe in. And to this day, they still work 7 days a
week to continue ensuring his sense of perfection can be passed down to every
single staff working within the company.
I was reading
a quote Dato’ Siti Nurhaliza once made about LORD’s Tailor the other day,
“Lord’s Tailor is a family shop that genuinely cares about the quality and
customer service. LORD’s is truly one of Malaysia’s best success stories.”
Reading this made me realise LORD’s is not just about us but also the many
clients and ambassadors who have been supporting us throughout the years –
people who many have come to be good friends of ours.
And we also want to take
this time to thank some of them by giving tribute to them for their support
namely Prof Datuk Jimmy Choo, Dato’ Siti Nurhaliza, Dato’ Lee Chong Wei, Datuk
Chef Wan and Amber Chia are all movers and founders in their own right within
their industry.
Of course, there are so many more, but we have chosen to give
tribute to these 5 because of the immense contribution in each of their
industry of expertise. They are such an inspiration to Malaysia and to us as
well.
Some people
may not be familiar with our new brandmark LORD’s 1974 and we want to highlight
the 43 years of heritage that is carried through – the passion for “The Perfect
Suit” combined with excellent customer service. This is the secret of LORD’s

milestone after four decades, the company has launched in 2017 a new label –
LORD’s 1974. The new brand carries the founding heritage year along with the
prominent house name.
LORD’s 1974 is an entry-level
luxury label specialising in both men’s formal and casualwear. The brand’s main
vision is to proliferate as the finest Malaysian luxury menswear brand with a
renown for its fine craftsmanship, best quality natural raw materials and contemporary
style.
Each season will feature a
contemporary seasonal approach while retaining a classic series pervaded in
timeless elegance.
The ready-to-wear label is made
in the heart of Kuala Lumpur at the highest standards of craftsmanship.
Utilising the finest European fabrics sourced from global renowned mills, each
product is uncompromised in quality and aesthetics.

premium service line, our new Made-to-Measure program.

The term “Bespoke” actually
heralds its origins from a time in Saville Row, renowned for fine custom
tailoring, when cloth for a suit was said to “be spoken for” by a

Our
tailors and craftsman skilfully approaches each fabric using their extensive knowledge of precise
tailoring to accurately cut the cloth to the exacting measurements of the

the hand-making of each suit.
