The Tribute To Women
Malaysia Lifestyle Fest 2017 Johor (TTWMJ) in celebration of the International
Women’s Day kicked off today 18 August 2017.
Organised by MSP Communications Sdn Bhd, it
is an event dedicated to women of all walks of life and all ages. This event is
in appreciation of women’s roles and contribution towards progress and
development of their family, society and nation building.
Tribute to Women Malaysia Lifestyle Fest 2017 provides an excellent opportunity for women business owners to promote and sell their products and service as well as networking. The programme includes business conference, workshops, forum, musical performance, business matching and many more exciting activities.
“Celebrating the 8th year, for the
very first time, we are bringing the Trade Exhibition and Gala Dinner to Johor
Bahru. Giving a special touch to the enhancement of the event with wider target
market, this year we are focusing on lifestyle as the signature of the event,
titled Tribute To Women Malaysia Lifestyle Fest 2017.
"The event provides an
excellent opportunity for women business owners to promote and sell their
products and service. The programme includes business conference, workshops,
forum and business matching” said Hajah Mahani Awang, Founder of Tribute To
Women Malaysia.
“Besides
exhibitors from Kuala Lumpur and southern region of Malaysia, there are also exhibitors
from India and Korea. With a total of more than 60 booths, we are welcoming
visitors throughout the three-day event which starts from 10.00 am until 9.00
pm daily and are free for admission to all visitors” added Hajah Mahani Awang.
The launch of this exciting event was officiated by Yang Berhormat Dato’ Sri Rohani Abdul Karim, Minister of Women, Family and Community Development of Malaysia in Persada International Convention Centre in Johor Bahru today.

In her address, Yang Berhormat Dato’ Sri Rohani lauded the event, saying that the fest,
themed “To Honour, Empower and Respect”, would empower women in many aspects
including culture, social and economic standing. “I am also happy to see that
the programme will also touch on Anti-Women’s Violence Campaign as well as the
Domestic Violence Act” she said.
In addition to the Trade Exhibition, the Lifestyle Fest also boasts other programmes like the Charity Gala Dinner with a special performance by Dato’ Khadijah Ibrahim, the Running Diva glamour and fun run and the Johor Fashion Mode featuring a spectrum of designers gracing the catwalk, with prolific brands like Bill Keith, Zang Toi, Tom Abang Saufi, Variyan, Sallikin Sidek, Fizi Woo and many others during the three days.
There will also be a fashion segment called MARA In Fashion
whereby designers under the MARA fashion designers and entrepreneurs programme
will have models strutting down the catwalk in their designs.
The Johor Fashion Mode 2017 (JFM 2017) is jointly organised by
MSP Communications Sdn Bhd and Bumiputra Designers Association (BDA) is one of
the programmes under the banner of the Tribute to Women Malaysia Lifestyle
Fest.
It aims to bring together the most promising, talented and recognised
fashion designers, brands and retail enterprises from across Malaysia and the
region to showcase the latest trends and products to a diverse audience of
consumers, media, fashion-savvy individuals and industry enthusiasts.
