            As the Philippine Government forces continue to win the battle and restore peace and order in Marawi City, a group of Filipino and Malaysian individuals headed by Dato Sri Princess Dr Becky Leogardo who is an honorary princess of this region, in coordination with the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Kuala Lumpur, has decided to help the thousands of Marawi residents.

These innocent victims, through no fault of their own, were displaced  because of the conflict. Tens of thousands of men, women and children whose otherwise peaceful lives were disrupted, are now in desperate need of assistance to rebuild their houses and lives. Presently they are in temporary evacuation centres outside of besieged city.

            This group of Pinoy men and women who are presently residing in peaceful Malaysia, believe in the resiliency of the Filipino people and in the warm heartedness and generosity of Malaysians who have stood with them during trying times in the history of Malaysia and Philippines. Hence these Filipinos and Malaysians have decided to organise 'Night of Music and Fashion' on 15 Oct 2017 on Sunday.

            Says Dato Sri Princess Dr Becky Leogardo, chairman of Marawi Fund-Raising, "“Night of Music and Fashion” is our way to extend a helping hand to those affected by the Marawi conflict. It is our way to show to the people of Marawi that we who live across the seas also care for and stand with them as they recover from this adversity.

                       "In this regard, we humbly request for your assistance by way of sponsoring a table/s during the event which will be held on 15 October 2017 at 7 p.m. at the Grand Ballroom of the Shangrila Hotel, Jalan Sultan Ismail, Kuala Lumpur.
