CHIA ACADEMY “SPRING / SUMMER 2018” GRADUATION SHOW
Trailblazing
fashion and beauty school Amber Chia Academy (ACA) - the #AcademyOfWinners
which has produced more than a 100 champions in various modelling competitions,
beauty pageants, as well as makeup contests - celebrated its eight annual
graduation show at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, in conjunction with the Inspirasi
Cinta Lounge by Blu Inc, where over 300 guests witnessed about 200 students
graduate from the fields of modelling, kids modelling, makeup as well as hair
styling.
Proudly
presented by Pensonic, and with JoserisKne acting as the main sponsor, this
grand affair saw returning emcee and ACA alumnus Nigel Chin - the winner of
Cleo Malaysia’s Most Eligible Bachelor 2015, along with image consultant Ky
Malupa - Miss Globe International Philippines 2004, taking on hosting duties for
the evening.
As
per its annual practice, this graduation show served as a platform for the debut
public performances and showcases for this year’s batch of ACA graduates, in front
of a live audience. This evening’s event allowed them the opportunity to apply
what they have learned in the forms of runway fashion shows, as well as makeup
and hair styling showcases, which simultaneously and obviously elicited much
pride from their families, friends, instructors, coaches, gurus, principal, as
well as industry experts and professionals in attendance.
To
cap it all off, their teachers - Makeup Guru Desmond Yoi, together with Nail
Art Guru Yannie Wong, combined forces to produce two impressive masterpiece
displays to culminate the presentation.
The male masterpiece was inspired by
Yoi’s message for his students to persistently uncover their very own
individual inner shine, while the female masterpiece represented his hopes for
his students to strive to create only the best forms of art in their future
careers.
“I
still find it hard to believe that it’s our eight graduation show this year -
it’s amazing how far we’ve come! My ACA team and I have put a lot of time,
effort, and hard work, into building and growing our academy... But every tiwe see our students on stage and fulfilling their passions and living their
dreams, it never fails to make everything seems worthwhile.
"And that makes me
remember why I have decided to start ACA all over again,”
declared
ACA Principal and namesake Amber Chia - an international model who is a regular
household name in Malaysia.
In
this past year alone, many ACA students lived up to the mantle of
#AcademyOfWinners by triumphing in an array of competitions, coming out at the
top as the grand winners of Face of Asia 2017 (Jesiey Giam), Face of Asia
Pacific 2018 (Joey Yong), Miss Jewellery Hong Kong 2017 (Kimmy Low), Face of
Malaysia 2017 (Ooi Jin Hoon), Face of Malaysia 2018 (Jack Goh), Supermodel
InternaKonal Malaysia 2017 (Lee Su Hsien), Miss Malaysia Tourism Metropolitan
2017 (Crystal Tung), Miss Tourism World Malaysia 2017 (Lynn Goh), Mrs. Asia
InternaKonal All NaKons 2017 (Chilla Cha), Mrs. Asia InternaKonal Global 2017
(Amanda Loh), Tiny Princess Malaysia - Li^le Miss Malaysia Pageant 2017 (Chanel
Chan), and also multiple other placements in a variety of other contests, just
to list a few.
As a
reward for outstanding performances in their respective fields of study, a total
of 12 awards were given out by ACA to honour their top graduates, and the
