Special MIGF Festival menus will be available over the month of September at The Olive and e18hteen Inspired Cuisine of Resorts World Genting

This year’s Malaysian International Gastronomy Festival (MIGF) will be the biggest and most delicious yet, and once again Resorts World Genting is at the forefront of the Festival’s offerings represented by Chef Radzuan bin Hamzah and Chef Jimmy Poh, the culinary teams of The Olive and e18theen Inspired Cuisine.

The team is all set to wow the crowd with special MIGF Festive Menus over the entire month of September. 

Having won the Best Golden Cauldron Award at MIGF 2012 and 2015, The Olive begins with a simple amuse bouche of a fresh French Oyster, its brininess livened up with Orange Pulp and an Asian-twist of Shaved Salted Egg Yolk followed by Japan’s No. 1 Beef, Miyazaki Wagyu with A5 Grade Cube of Miyazaki Wagyu as appetizer and Poached Lobster for starters. 

An interesting concoction of Smoked Tomato Essence leads the way to the hearty main of Scottish Salmon intermingled with woody, fruity flavours and a sweet ending of Hazelnut Financier with Chocolate Chips, Soft Cremeux and Vanilla-soft Caramel.

The e18theen Festival Menu starts off on a European note – an amuse bouche of chilled Gazpacho with Tomato Hearts and Diced Cucumbers surpassed by The Flavour of Rivers and Marine consisting of a Pan-Seared Scallop on top of King Mushroom, a Stir-fried River Scampi and Scrambled White Omega Egg with Crab Meat and Ikura. For the main course, Chef Jimmy presents a steamed fillet of freshwater Wallago Attu served with Black Rice with Wolfberries in Chef’s Special Sauce with Sweetcorn Four-Ways for dessert.
