The Malaysian Fashion Week Festival 2019  (kicks) Off Today!  The Malaysia Fashion Week Festival  (themed) "Vintage Stylo: Fashion Art Beauty" (starts) today at Publika, (Kuala Lumpur's most happening lifestyle mall in Dutamas). It will run from the 14 - 20 October 2019.(better give exact dates as this gives false impression there are fashion shows daily) The show opens today(14 Oct 2019, why so long winded and old fashioned to write on the 14th of October 2019, might as well say in the year 2019!)  at the Black Box with the STYLO Gentlemen's Weekend's Suit Walk. It will feature (features) the Malaysian Tailors Showcase with some 16 Malaysian tailors taking the catwalk with their muses and accompanied by menswear designers.  Guest of Honour YAM Tunku Puteri Johor Tunku Kamariah Aminah Maimunah (elder sister of Her Majesty the Queen of Malaysia)  opens the show accompanied by Bon Zainal, Co-Chairman of MFW Festival and Rolv Reissiger, Chairman of STYLO Gentlemen's Weekend. International Guest of Honour is Brunei High Commissioner H.E Dato Paduka Haji Alaihuddin. (Bad choice as Brunei is officially anti-gay and is not known for fashion, should be Ambassador of UK, France, USA or Japan) "The MFW Festival is introduced for the First Time (first time) today (a B2C and B2b show) though we have run the MFW Trade Show (B2B show) for the past 6 years. Its a sneak peek of greater creative things to come  (with) art, beauty, music, dance, food,  fashion and architecture housed within the  STYLO brand which has been synonymous with F1, supercars, helicopters, beauty queen's (queens) and all forms of  "celebrity-hood", says Datuk (Dato as Pahang is spelled Dato) Nancy Yeoh-Reissiger, Chairman of MFW Festival.  Runway shows will be hosted also (are held) in the Black Box where Malaysian and International fashion designers will showcase their products on the 20th of October 2019.(20 Oct 2019)  There will be an "Art meets Fashion" showcase and as well as an appearance of the 8 Finalists of the Miss Astro Chinese International pageant.  Deputy Minister of Tourism YB Mohamad Bakhtiar will be the Guest of Honour on the 20th of October (20 Oct 2019) at 6.00pm.  He will witness the signing of agreement between MFW Festival with Gurney Paragon Mall in Penang and MFW Modestyle Trade Show with Seberang Prai Convention Centre in Seberang Prai.  The shows will take place on (in) April 2020 in conjunction with Visit Malaysia Year 2020.           The Deputy Minister will also witness the signing of Malaysian Designers to Miami, USA on 30 November 2019. In attendance will also be Dato' Jimmy Choo, Advisor of MFW Festival.  There will be 16 awards presented that night (presented on 20 Oct) including the Prof.JIMMY CHOO award (Award) for the Next designer and accessories designer of 2019.(Next Designer and Accessories Designer of 2019) The MFW Festival will run at the Gallery, White Box, Black Box and the Square of Publika.
