Since 1999, the name Chakri Palace has been synonymous to Royal Thai Cuisine in KL. From the day it opened its doors in Suria KLCC, the restaurant has thrived and is now proudly celebrating its 20th Anniversary. Suffice to say, it is no easy feat as it remains the only one of two remaining F&B outlets on Level 4 that has been in operation since the opening of the mall.

Chakri Palace celebrated its 20th Anniversary last year with an Appreciation Soiree for its VIP and loyal customers that have been supporting the brand for all these years. They were delighted to be grace by their guest of honor Chef Mc Dang who came all the way from Thailand to attend this event.

He is a Thai Royalty from the Chakri Dynasty. He is also an author of numerous cook books and celebrity guest on various international TV programmes, Mc Dang’s deep affection for Thai culture and cuisine provides inspiration for him to bring out the best in exquisite Thai cooking, winning plaudits from critics and foodies worldwide.

Thai delicacies are Karawek sod see (Sausage roll with egg and mince chicken), Ma hor (bean paste with pineapple),Tom yum seafood red soup with young coconut, Yum mamong poo nim thai herb (crispy soft shell crab with thai herb salad), Pla muek phad staw (stir fried squid with petai and lady finger balacan sauce), Gaeng kiew waan poo mee hoon (crab meat green curry with mee hoon), Salmon yang chu chee sauce (grilled salmon with red curry sauce), Kana pla kem(kailan with salted fish), Khao phad gai (chakri fried rice chicken) and many more. The live action stall was a crowd favourite as the chefs were making Thai laksa & Kao kraip pak mor. In addition to Thai flavours, the company showcased their new dishes such as Fresh oyster, King prawn with petai balacan sauce, Green curry crab meat, Lobster with samrod sauce, Mieangkam scallop, Combination red ruby and mango sticky rice, Grill salmon with red curry sauce, Crispy soft shell crab with mango Thai herb salad and Red tom yum in young coconut. A selection is always available at Buffet Lunch on Sat and Sun at Dorsett Hartamas.

Managing Director and Founder Datuk Seri Garry Chua is also currently the president of MRCA.
