Malaysia Model Festival Awards 2012

Yes I know this happened last December but I thought the photos (taken by me and my Leica of course) are so nice they deserve another airing!
Kronenbourg
Proudly presented by Kronenbourg 1664, the inaugural Malaysia Model Festival Awards (MMFA) 2012 aims to recognise and bestow awards to esteemed individuals and teams responsible for contributing to the success of the modeling industry of Malaysia. Projected to be the ground-breaking event of the local modeling scene, a grand total of 25 prestigious awards - which its winners will be determined by voting from peers, professionals, members of the media and celebrated VIPs of the modeling industry - will be given out on the gala night at the Putrajaya Marriott Hotel & Spa on 11th December 2012.
The Female and Male Star Models of the Year winners will be flown to Seoul, Korea, to be exclusive recipients of the Star Model Award - Malaysia during the 8th Asia Model Festival Awards (AMFA) in 2013. Past Malaysian recipients of this prestigious award include Tinie, Kelly Jagan, Wilson Tan, Deborah Henry, as well as KS Tan.
The Asia Model Festival Awards, touted as the premier red-carpet event of the Asian modeling and fashion industry, is an international event attended by a 3,000 strong live audience, that will be broadcasted over more than 20 channels across 128 countries around the world to an estimated 10 million people. International stars who have graced this event include Lin Chi-Ling, Leo Ku, Rain, Girls Generation, Wonder Girls, Big Bang, Beast and Kara, just to name a few.
In conjunction with MMFA, a nationwide star model search will also be held in the form of the Asia New Star Model Contest 2012 - Face of Malaysia (FOM). This is a first of its kind model search as the criteria will not only include modeling potential, but participants will also have to possess potential star qualities. They will not only be trained in the art of modeling, but also the creative art of performance in the entertainment industry.
The appealing convergence of the fashion and entertainment industries is becoming more apparent in recent years, as championed by the strong emergence and dominance of the K-pop phenomena. One female and one male winner of FOM will also be sent to Seoul, Korea, to compete at the international grand finals and potentially be scouted by entertainment companies to be part of the next K-pop group.
