Fire Opals
yes, Opals can be orange and red!
Opals come in various colours, with the most exciting and unique being the vibrant orange and red variety. Coloured by iron oxide, Fire Opals, are amorphous forms, consisting of spheres of silica trapped with water.

As light passes through the opals, it diffracts in to colours of the spectrum, producing that flash of colour-play typical of most opals. Although most Fire Opals are historically mined from the highlands of Mexico, there have been some more recent finds in Brazil as well.

But luckliy for you, you won't have to travel to the ends of the earth to claim these jewels. Just come by to your La Putri boutique as we have collated a selection of the finest Fire Opals, and handcrafted the most stunning pieces, with due respect to each gem's organic fluidity and form. Each piece is unique and truly one-of-a-kind. Come by and pick up the piece that speaks to you!
