HE Dr Rolf Lenz toasts the people of Malaysia
The Swiss ambassador arrived at 6.30 pm to personally welcome Datuk Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaa'far, Malaysia's Deputy Minister of Home Affairs who represented Malaysia. Each toasted the people and Government of Switzerland and Malaysia and also to His Majesty the King of Malaysia and the Head of State of Switzerland.
Madame Shirley Hsiao-Lan and her two gorgeous sons who should be working as models instead of wasting time studying. They can return to school when they are old, fat and ugly but now when they are so tall, fair and handsome, they should be conquering Hong Kong, Taiwan and all of China let alone Singapore and Malaysia.
As I entered the ballroom I thought I had body odour or the hotel's sewers had broken. I smelled my armpit but as I was saturated with Clinique's Aromatics Elixir and had just bathed, I smelled divine. I wondered if the stench was due to my smelly socks but how could the aroma float out from my Christian Louboutin shoes which cost RM 2,000?
So I accused the lady standing innocently next to me. Protested Margaret Sebastian, "Of course I don't have body odour! It's the famous Swiss cheese you peasant!"
And so it was! There were 2 counters serving Swiss Raclette cheese some 10 feet away and the smell was overpowering! They should be serving durian instead! The Swiss fondue is like the Chinky steamboat but of course ours don't produce faint-inducing stench! I had to close my nostrils with my jewel-laden fingers to prevent myself from passing out!
So I went to the fruit table and ate several plates of jackfruit which is my favorite. Like durian and budu, Raclette cheese is an acquired taste for Asians unused to diary products but really, I would rather skydive without a parachute and chance it than eat Raclette cheese but there was quite a queue! Oh well, different strokes for different folks! After all, I always wondered what is wrong with mat sallehs who run away screaming when they smell our durian and all 5-star hotels ban the King of Fruit!
