Angie Lim hosted a vegetarian dinner to celebrate another year of life and decided to do so without taking another life! So no animals, birds or fish had to die just to celebrate her birthday!

Even better, she chose Kechara Oasis New Age Vegetarian Cuisine restaurant at VIVA Home mall at 85, Jalan Loke Yew. This great restaurant is part of the Kechara charity group which also runs Kechara Souo Kitchen for the poor and is founded by a Tibetan Rinpoche guru His Eminence Tsem Tulku Rinpoche who is now spreading Buddhism in USA and the Malaysian chapter is headed by accountant Paul Yap. So all profits will go towards Kechara, a Tsem Tulku Buddhst Organisation which does such excellent work in helping the underprivileged while promoting Tibetan Buddhism.

At the entrance of Kechara Oasis Vegetarian restaurant is a standing statue of White Tara which I particularly admire and love and I kept staring at it as I entered and walked out. I even went to the Kechara Tibetan shop to check out the statues for sale. There is a huge seated Tara at RM 288,888 which is so awesome! But I still adore the Standing Tara at the entrance of Kechara Oasis so look out for it when you next go there!

Black Ng---he got his name like this. He accidentally sent a SMS that read 'Call Me Black" which was supposed to be "Call me back"! The name stuck and so he is now Black Ng though he is yellow, being a chink!
