LATEST UPDATE ON DHARA DHEVI, MY FAVOURITE HOTEL IN CHIANGMAI, THAILAND

I STAYED AT DHARA DHEVI CHIANGMAI WHEN IT WAS A MANDARIN ORIENTAL HOTEL BUT NOW IT IS JUST DHARA DHEVI INSTEAD OF MANDARIN ORIENTAL DHARA DHEVI.

I think the hotel should shorten the spelling to Dara Devi as it is easier to read, pronounce AND spell! Also 'Dara Devi' sounds exactly like 'Dhara Dhevi' so there is no difference and makes the name less of a tongue tripper as farang and mat sallehs need to stop and work out mentally how to pronounce the 'h's!

I have seen the name spelled as 'Dahra Dehvi', 'Darra Dehwe' or 'Darha Dehvi' so remove any chance of misspelling by making it short, sweet and simple! 'Dara Devi' cannot go far wrong!

But this superlative hotel is out of this world and their Royal Villa with own pools, 3 individual yet interconnecting villas, gardens, spas and openair jacuzzis within a walled compound is like a city within a city! 

It costs RM 25,000 a night but can sleep at least 6! Maybe even 8 or 10! 

If you stay at Dhara Dhevi and can swear before Buddha you had a lousy, God-awful time, I will slit my thoat with a blunt, butter knife.
