PRESENTS PASCAL JOLIVET WINEMAKER DINNER
Lafite's chef de cusiine Jean-Phillippe and his classic creations

Lafite welcomes French winemaker Pascal Jolivet on
24 April 2014 for a one-day winemaker dinner featuring wines from his estate in the Loire Valley in France.

Lafite Chef de Cuisine Jean-Philippe Guiard has specially created a five-course French dinner to match the Pascal Jolivet wines, which have gained a leading position with Michelin-starred restaurants in France.

Mr Jolivet is regarded in wine circles as one of the youngest and most dynamic winemakers in the Loire Valley.  His presence at the Lafite wine dinner makes it a meaningful and exclusive experience.

Founded in 1985, his estate of more than 16 hectares specialises in the wines of Sancerre and Pouilly-Fume.  Mr Jolivet believes in letting nature make the wines and practices environmentally friendly techniques both at the vineyard and in the cellar.

These highly regarded wines will be paired with different courses.  The Lafite dinner will begin with Hokkaido Scallops, Fresh Herbs and Avrugar Caviar Tartar, Warm Lobster Consomme paired with Les Caillotes, Sauvignon Blanc, Sancerre, 2012.

Steamed Oyster Ravioli, Curry Sauce and Melted Leek will be matched with Sauvage, Sauvignon Blanc, Sancerre, 2012.

The dinner will continue with Warm Smoked Salmon, Bean Sprouts and Parmesan Risotto with Beurre Blanc Sauce paired with Les Terres Blanches, Sauvignon Blanc, Pouilly-Fume, 2012.

For the main course of Forever Braised Beef Short Rib, Creamy Potatoes and Roasted Baby Onions, Pinot Noir, Sancerre Rouge 2010 will be poured.

The stellar dinner paired with stellar wines will end with Mango Sherbert and Pineapple Ravioli, Passionfruit Coulis and Lemon Meringue.

“They are wines you can drink and enjoy with food.  My wines have finesse, elegance and purity, with clean aromas and flavours,” Mr Jolivet said of his wines.

Guests may enjoy this five-course dinner at MYR330++ per person.
